HIGH SPEED Wi-Fi, The Close by Cabin is a BEAUTIFUL RETREAT that feels miles away, But is right in Town of Black Mountain! This Single level custom cabin, sits on 5 acre wooded grounds with 180 degree winter & Spring views. And easily accessed via PAVED PRIVATE ROAD! Feel miles away, but still be in-town!!
The cabin is a custom built cedar log home offering privacy & convenience. At this mountain property you will feel miles away but you're practically in town! A NEWLY Widen and freshly paved driveway leads to this mountain location! Large Level 'gravel' parking area easily accommodates 4 vehicles. PRIVATE 5 Acre property, - Great for Relaxing with Privacy!

This vacation property offers beautiful indoor and outdoor areas to relax and entertain, including two decks, custom flagstone patio and a outdoor picnic area with stone fireplace. Split wood provided for the outdoor fireplace. Sturdy swing set for the children to play on.

The home features spacious rooms, open floor plan, exposed beam construction, high ceilings, large picture windows, 4 French doors, gas fireplace, and central air, making it the perfect vacation spot. Enjoy New upgraded Starlink High Speed Internet, Dependable and FAST WiFi. Enjoy HIGH SPEED INTERNET W/ WI-FI THROUGHOUT.
ALL Rooms equipped with Ruko. You can watch the basic free channels, or simply log onto to your own subscriptions.

Beds sleep 6 people comfortably. Linens provided. Electric range, washer and dryer. Fully stocked kitchen including coffee maker, Keurig, blender and dishes/ utensils needed for cooking and baking. Service for 8.

Enjoy plenty of puzzles and board games. Home is also stocked with birding and hiking guides, local maps and area entertainment guides.
The large parking area will accommodate 4 vehicles. You'll feel miles away from it all, but still be close to town. The Cabin is centrally located between Montreat (0.5 mi ) and Black mountain (1 mi).

Please contact us with questions concerning early check-ins and additional days, if possible we will make accommodations.

Once all rental fees are paid, guests will receive instructions for entry into home.

Great, private location. As advertised. Enjoyed the fireplace but didn’t have time for outdoor fire. Well-appointed - incl. puzzles and games - and clean in all the places that mattered. The one twin bed (far side of room) could use a new mattress so it can be more comfortably used by adults. Or better yet, replace it with a double bed so all 3 couples can be comfortable. Appreciated all the provided info on hikes. Should’ve stayed longer so we could’ve explored them. Thanks!

The directions to the cabin were spot on and the location is perfect for Black Mountain, Asheville, and all things WNC. Upon entering the cabin our first impression was the cleanliness of the cabin. This cabin is beautiful! The views are amazing and even though it is near town the place is very peaceful. The hosts communicate almost instantly and are very kind and generous. We are already looking at dates to return to this cabin.

This is our second time staying here and it was another excellent stay! The house is in a great location between Black Mountain and Montreat. Our family enjoyed hiking in Montreat during the morning hours and eating at local restaurants in Black Mountain later in the day. The host was very kind and prompt to respond to our questions. The house was very clean, well decorated, and it had everything we needed. Our family of 5 had plenty of room. We enjoyed using the gas log fireplace. We liked the Christmas tree they had decorated for the holidays. We also appreciated the DVD selection they had and were able to watch one of our favorite Christmas movies. The driveway is steep, but it was no problem. It is paved and well taken care of. We would stay here again in the future.

John and Rachel were great hosts, they communicated frequently and were welcoming. We enjoyed our Thanksgiving here, it was a great area with lots of space in the cabin. We didn’t have any trouble cooking our dinner away from home, the kitchen is well supplied! We enjoyed the outdoor fire pit and swings, plus it was also close to town. I recommend staying here if you’re in the area.

The host was quick to respond to any questions I had, and the cabin was absolutely perfect as a true American mountain getaway for a visit Brit. Great views!It would also be great for a family--with a swing set, picnic table, and several outdoor seating areas. Each bedroom was very private, with two of the bedrooms having outdoor patios.They had the Christmas tree decorated and lit for our arrival. Wonderful :)

Cabin was super clean, spotless and cozy. Loved the gas fireplace. If we stayed one more night, we definitely would have had a fire in the fire pit. (Only stayed one night.) The wood was all chopped and ready to go. Plenty of parking. There is a steep driveway which may require special navigating for large, oversized vehicles. I believe our Chevy Silverado 2500 would fit just fine. Inside is comfy, kitchen well stocked and the beds are comfortable. There is a keurig with coffee pods. The hosts are great and the communication is excellent.. They leave a binder full of great information about the area. We went into the town of Black Mountain, plenty of restaurants, breweries, and gas stations.

This cabin was perfect for our family. Very cozy - we loved the fireplace! Place was spotless and had everything we needed. Unfortunately, we did not have great weather so could not enjoy the outdoor spaces. The view from the bedrooms was beautiful. And we got to see the mama and 2 baby bears!

Location was perfect! Black Mountain was literally right now the hill and Asheville was a short drive away (as was the Biltmore). The cabin had everything we needed, was super clean, and the hosts were great. We would definitely book this cabin again!

The cabin was as listed and the cabin owners were friendly and informative. Property was perfect for our needs of being able to have a base camp while we dropped our kids off at college. The fire pit was used and we enjoyed the space of the living room in order to have some friends over as well so everyone could feel comfortable. The only challenging part of the property is the driveway during the summer. It's fine, but I can only imagine that it's a little bit challenging. During the winter it wasn't unmanageable, but it was definitely a unique experience. Were able to see wildlife while we were there and the town is so amazing both Black mountainand montreat. The book that the family left for us gave great directions for some amazing trails and hiking experiences.

What a fantastic place to stay in lovely and fun Black Mountain. The cabin was spacious but also cozy, clean and extremely well furnished, everything we needed in the kitchen! We found great restaurants and gift shops along Cherry Street, and playground and fun for the kids at Robert Lake Park. John and Rachel were great hosts, very easy to communicate with! We hope to stay here again for any future trips to this great spot !:)
