Experience Lake Michigan like never before at this charming cabin nestled in the woods, surrounded by miles of pristine shoreline. Wake up to the gentle sounds of Lake Michigan, birds singing, and fresh, crisp airā€”ah, the good life! Good Morning Arcadia is cozy yet inviting, offering a peaceful and private retreat. Please note, shoreline access may vary with changing water levels, but stairs are available on the north side of the property for lake access.
Just one flight of stairs leads up to the main level of the house, which faces west, offering stunning sunsets. Inside, you'll find 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, perfect for up to 4 guests.
The full kitchen (no dishwasher) is equipped with all the essentials you need. One bedroom features a sliding door to the deck, giving you great views and the soothing sounds of the lake. Stay entertained with a Smart TV, cable, and WiFi. There's also a washer and dryer in the lower-level laundry room. If it gets a bit warm outside, fans are available in each room, though the refreshing lake breezes usually keep things comfortable.

Relax on the spacious deck off the living room, where you can enjoy breathtaking lake views. Youā€™ll also find a charcoal grill perfect for outdoor cooking.

Donā€™t miss the incredible sunsets and starry night skiesā€”theyā€™re truly unforgettable. Golf enthusiasts will love that Arcadia Bluffs is just 3.5 miles away, and there are plenty of nature trails, dunes, and scenic overlooks nearby. Be sure to explore the charming towns of Arcadia, Frankfort, and Onekama. Manistee is only 23 miles from here. Arcadia Beach and Veterans Memorial are just minutes away, and a scenic drive north on M-22 will take you to the stunning Baldy Dunes or Sleeping Bear Dunes.

Pets are welcome (up to 2 dogs). Please remember to clean up after your furry friends.

Check out great hiking and some mountain biking trails at Overlook Trail, Baldy Trail, Pete's Woods, Chestnut Trail, and Dry Hill Trail.

Beautiful sunsets

We have stayed at this property in the past. It is clean and very comfortable. We enjoy the wrap around deck and the fire pit. The only improvements could be new furniture on the deck. The one chair was ripped completely thru. Also, needs a new shower curtain. Was very moldy. The beds are so very comfortable. Again, was very clean. We will be back again.

5 stars for everything

The house was perfect the pictures were spot on, and the view was incredible. The cabin was nostalgic and charming. Everything looks better in person. The only complaint is the bed in one of the rooms is extremely hard but I think some people like that. Very clean and I would definitely return and keep it on my short list.

Quaint,quirky, knotty pined cabin with a million dollar view.

The road through the woods worried my erudite urbanite companion from Santa Monica, but her worries quickly dissipated, at the appearance of Lake Michigan. The cottage may be a bit funky, but it was comfortable, and the location on a small bluff on the lake was spectacular. The screen door for the sliding glass door by the dining table was apparently damaged by someone attempting to pry it open. It still opens and closes, but it canā€™t be shut and locked. The bathroom sink drains slowly. I donated a new sautĆ© pan and batteries for the TV remote control for future vacationers, and hopefully someday I can return. Thanks to everyone, who helped make this stay possible.

Beautiful Spot for a Small Family

This spot in Arcadia was the perfect for a much needed getaway. We appreciated the secluded location but it wasnā€™t too far of a drive to get to shops and restaurants. We started each day with coffee in bed overlooking the lake and fell asleep to the sound of waves crashing. Weā€™ll be back!

Perfect Weekend

We rented Good Morning Arcadia for a much needed weekend getaway. The pictures and reviews of the property made it sound just perfect, and indeed it was. We were not looking for anything luxurious, we were looking for a quiet place on the lake to spend a few days. The decor is refreshingly eclectic, and gave much to look at and enjoy. It was perfect for two people, but it would be too small for more people because of limited seating. The wrap around deck is a very nice feature. There is at least one thing that each of us has that makes or breaks our opinion of a place. For me, it is the water; the taste, the smell, the softness/hardness. The water here is excellent! (I have been known to avoid places because of the water.). It is clear and crisp with no funny taste or smell. And the shower was great! There is a small library in the hallway with some interesting titles. There are too many great things to say about this property. It is simple, comfortable and has the best view of Lake Michigan that you could possibly imagine. Even though you canā€™t (easily) get down to the water, you can still see the waves crashing on shore, and you can hear the soothing sound of the water. With the awesome porch, who needs the beach anyway! We will definitely be back to this wonderful hidden gem! (P.S. I think the deer in the picture is on the payroll because we saw deer on several occasions, the first time on the road, just like the picture!)

Perfect Pandemic Getaway

Good Morning Arcadia is the perfect location to get away from pandemics, city stress, work, etc. The sights and sounds of Lake Michigan and the gentle clicking of poplar trees are the soundtrack of this property. Wake to see deer families feeding outside the bedroom door. The four-sided deck allows for enjoying the natural environment all around you. The beach has been swallowed up, sadly. The house itself is clean, extremely well stocked with kitchen tools, dishes and towels, and generously supplied with perishables (dish soap, paper towels, toilet paper, etc.). A cozy accommodation for two; workable for 4; 5 would mean the short straw sleeps in the Living/Dining/Kitchen area. Cell service is very spotty; internet is solid. All in all, I wish I owned Good Morning Arcadia and could stay here all summer.

No beach, tired rental

Tired. Needs many repairs including new mattresses. More importantly, exposed electrical wiring is hazard, and stairs to lake and deck have exposed nails. Looks like no effort to maintain or improve. The high lake has eroded the beach and made access to impossible.

Love ā€œGood Morning Arcadiaā€. This is our 5th year. We canā€™t wait for next year. Mother Nature stepped in and took away the beach this year but we still had a wonderful time. We highly recommend this little cottage on stilts
