Welcome to Hurricane House, an inviting vacation home with a private pool less than a five-minute walk to Anna Maria Island Beach and the Famous Pine Ave. This ground-level rental has three bedrooms and two and a half baths. In the living area, you will find ceramic tile with an artful design of a hurricane, where friends and family can gather for a movie night and discuss Anna Maria Island activities. The fully equipped kitchen has plenty of storage space for beach snacks and counter space to prepare island-inspired meals. The covered outdoor dining area is perfect for delighting in fun drinks, Florida-inspired meals, and the best Anna Maria Island take-out.

The primary bedroom offers a fun Caribbean feel, a tv, and an ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom will put a smile on guests' faces and has plenty of storage space for vacation essentials. There is a second bathroom and a washer and dryer to keep the vacation attire fresh. The separate guest suite is right off the pool, making traveling with multiple parties a breeze. The living area also has a sleeper sofa to ensure each guest's peaceful stay.

After making memories at the gorgeous Gulf of Mexico beaches, return to your backyard oasis to relax in the pool, in the hammock, or on one of the loungers in the spacious backyard. Explore the seven-mile island's locally owned boutiques and restaurants by foot or the free island trolley, just a short walk from the rental. Fabulous

No hassles at all. Check in seamless. Property sparkling clean from kitchen to bathrooms to outside. Restaurants within walking distance as is beach which is also pristine. This was second visit since May and will be back.

Beautiful home.

Home is beautiful. Check in and out was easiest we ever had. Pool was delightful. AC was great. Tons of TV channels but we really didn’t watch it. You must bring or rent your own beach chairs. There are many good restaurants within walking distance and you must try Mademoiselle for authentic French pastries and dinner.

Fun Family Beach Getaway

We loved our stay at this lovely home. The on-site heated pool and screened-in patio with grill were perfect for our needs. The house was just a quick walk to white sand beaches. We would definitely return again! Only small bits of feedback are that it would have been lovely to have some salt and pepper on hand for cooking, one laundry basket for transferring loads, and a small cooler for the beach. But these were all easy fixes. Thank you!

Fantastic Location & Great Amenities

Super close and short walk to the beach! Close to restaurants and shops. Loved the private pool. It was also very nice to have some soap, shampoo, dish soap, a couple of laundry pods, etc. provided for for us.

Great location on the island!

House was great and so close to the beach. This is definitely more vacation rental than VRBO style. Everything is cleaned out so you will need coffee filters and any thing needed for cooking like oil, spices etc. They have all the pots, pans utensils. The pool was awesome (the alarms are a little annoying until you figure them out and are a good safety precaution). Would definitely book again.

Simply Wonderful

It was an amazing getaway. A true vacation. We rented a golf cart from Lazy Turtle, which is a walk around the block. We ate at the Sandbar, Harry's, and Waterhouse---all within a walk. And they were wonderful. We walked to breakfast at Mademoiselle's 3 different mornings--coffee and croissants. They were delicious. Go to the Sandbar for brunch. Ask for a table in the sand. We did twice. Had drinks and lunch, then walked over to a spot on the beach. Plus, the Sandbar has an outdoor access to order fruity drinks, like Daiquiris. Ironically, even though it's posted to not have alcohol on the beach, those from the Sandbar were, obviously, allowed. The house is lovely. It's comfortable and stocked well. The pool is heated. The landscaping is beautiful. Plenty of seating. Beach towels were provided. There is an outdoor bedroom that doesn't have a shower, but we used the outdoor shower, which was absolutely fine. We were on vacation. There is a twin pullout in the Master bedroom and the couch (in a private room beside the living room) pulls outs as well. We used both. I would take sheets for the single. We used blankets, that we carried, but I will take sheets next time. I hope to be back. Soon.

Fab place and I will be back!

I loved this place. Great house, great location, great place to be! I will def be back. Only hiccup at all was non-working cable in living room (which they tried, but failed, to fix), and an alarm in the pool house that had no silence button on the outside like all the other doors. Not an issue for us as we didn't use that room. Would be really annoying if we had to use that room. Still loved the place and will stay here again and again!!

Great house to celebrate family milestone events

We’ve been vacationing on AMI for 25yrs and this was the most special year of all. Our youngest graduated from Eckerd College, our oldest brought his wife and new baby to this magical spot for the first time, and we all celebrated a surprise wedding proposal on the beach. The house gave everyone enough space to spread out & relax. It’s close to restaurants, shopping and steps away from a great beach. We couldn’t have asked for more! Thank you, Hurricane House.

A wonderful place

This place was everything we had hoped for. It was so close to the ocean and restaurants. I loved being able to walk to places or just go right to the ocean. The only thing that I would say was not good was the little pool house/ room had mold in it and had a smell due to it. Other then that it was perfect

Much Needed Getaway

This was my husband and I's first vacation on our own in a long time, and we were looking for the perfect spot within walking distance of the beach and restaurants that would also accommodate our dogs. We loved the "hacienda" feel of the home, having our own pool, a fenced back yard, great bike riding and only a block to the beach. We are already looking forward staying at the Hurricane House again next year and hope to make it an annual getaway.

Great house...wonderful location

Beautiful home, pool, and the best location for resturants, beach and shopping . Third bedroom was a bit of surprise that it was separate from the home but there are plenty of places to sleep that are very comfortable.

Happy with Hurricane House

Overall we were pleased with the rental and the location. We have come to Anna Maria over the last twelve years but have never stayed at the northern end. Needs new pans and more linens / towels.

We loved the house and net covering the pool. Maybe this is how Florida vrbos work but there was no extra toilet paper, no dish or hand soap (except a bar), no laundry detergent and no dishwasher soap, no garbage bags (except one in the bathroom) and we killed a cockroach in the house (again maybe just common for Florida...I just hate bugs). Coming from across the US with 6 kids it would have been nice to arrive and not have to worry about those things that have come with other vrbos we’ve stayed in.

You want for nothing when staying at the Hurricane House.

THe Hurricane house has everything you will need when renting. It is well decorated and well maintained. It is a great location to get to the beach, restaurants, and shops without having to get into a car. Also, the Anna Maria accomodations - managing company, are the best to make sure your stay is perfect. We will be back again.

Location. RELAXATION and convenience.... What VACATION should be!

This is our second time at the Hurricane House and one of many jaunts to ANNA MARIA! Upon arrival we felt like we had found paradise! We were a bit disappointed when we realized the POOL ensuite was very musty and we could not use because of this.... With a toddler we thought it would have been ideal! My daughter and son-in-law had to sleep on the pull out couch all week and we found no linens for it!.... Needed to strip the bed in the pool ensuite! We ordered a rental crib to be delivered (ABC Rental) and received confirmation it had been delivered and it was NOT there... first night sleeping was VERY difficult. It was not delivered until LATE afternoon the next day. We made the best of it and persevered! Our week was beautiful and having the pool and the short jaunt to the beach everyday made the little things (limited paper products, VERY old and limited beach chairs, LIMITED Wifi and very small TV and Music availability) more of an inconvenience and were NOT insurmountable.... JUST not sure we will recommend as enthusiastically as we have in the past! GREAT restaurants, Beautiful Beach days and lounging by the pool made it a very nice escape.
