"Spotless, not much for amenities but they were clear about that. Staff were great about dropping off more towels and one staff member, on her day off, went to the store and bought some clothes hangers as there were none in the unit. I was disappointed with the view. The photo shows a house looking directly at the beach. That is not the house we stayed in. Ours was smaller and behind it. It is pretty much hidden in the photo they show. We did have a side view of the water but I feel the photo is...

"The place was amazing for the price! If I had to be picky, the property was unkept/overgrown and the room had a funny smell. Clean and had plenty of room and amenities. Bed was comfy and I can appreciate that more than anything."

"We love The Mermaid Inn!This was our 3rd year in row to stay here. A sweet cottage with everything you need! It’s the best place to sit on the porch swing and watch the deer! It’s an easy 4 block walk to the beach. We will be back for year 4"

"Home offers plenty of space for 6 guests, and the area is wonderful! Close in proximity to the local harbor, we found ourselves enjoying the local dining scene close to the water. Property is modern & well thought out for guests, rooms offer plenty of comfortable beds and location is close to NASA, fun bars/hangouts as well as HOU Hobby Airport. Owner was communicative & directions/access was super convenient. A definite bookmark for our next visit to the Lone Star State!!"

"Everything was good, no real complaints. I wasn't 100% sure on the room layout as one of the bedrooms were down stairs and the place was a little dusty but nothing that was a nightmare. Great location overall and fit what we needed. Thanks again!"

"Have no complaints. Ac was cold and the pool was great ! The host is helpful and nice. In the summertime you will find it best to leave the shutters down to keep the house cool , if you want one open for view that’s cool too but we had no problems . They have a newer refrigerator too so some of the reviews are not current. Fridge was perfect! No ice maker just buy a bag of ice. No big deal. Had the best time !!"

"This place is not at all like the pictures. The entire place is held together with caulk and duct tape. We tried getting ahold of the owner the first day about it and we ended up ultimately having to leave and rent something else. The owners still have not responded to our request for a refund. The entire place was very dirty, trash bins were full, and the rooms were not as advertised."
