Relaxing and Peaceful
We came up for Labor Day weekend and this cabin was the perfect getaway. It was fully stocked and has the best porch and view to sit and relax. We will definitely try to come back again.

Lovely and spacious
We had plenty of room for our dogs and 3 kids in this well appointed, quaint cabin. The secure wrap around porch was perfect for just relaxing in the pines as well as containing the dogs when we needed it. The beds were comfortable, kitchen well stocked, and the views were gorgeous. A lovely stay!

Never received directions to cabin. Had to use vrbo website general map and look at picture of house to visually find cabin. Wood stove door latch missing. Grill igniter broken, had to manually light. Internet speed poor, not surprising given location. Could have been cleaner.

Alpine Getaway
The cabin was very nice. In a peaceful setting. Enjoyed seeing the elk come through late afternoon from the comfort of the deck. Bed's were comfy and cozy. Kitchen well stocked.

Wonderful Cabin
We loved our stay at Alpine Cabin! The cabin was clean and well stocked, the view from the back porch was so peaceful and beautiful. Everything we needed is a quick weekend get away!

A great place to go to get away and entertain yourself. We enjoyed the space, the tasteful cabin - it has everything you could want - and the chance to see some remote landscape and listen to the elk. Wonderful. Dennis

Peaceful and Private
This location is beautiful and the home is well equipped. We loved the wrap around porch, comfortable beds, and well stocked kitchen. The natural setting of being nestled in the ponderosa pines, and heating the elk call at night made it very special.

Better Than Expected
The views from the wrap around porch are gorgeous and very relaxing. The location near the national forest and Luna Lake makes this a great place to access fishing and day trips into the forrest.

Beautiful cabin, perfect for weekend getaway.
The cabin was so beautiful and had everything we needed to escape the heat for the weekend and just sit on the porch, enjoying the views, weather, and company. The wrap around porch was perfect because it was enclosed and the dogs could be outside with us all day, without being on a leash until we took them to the trees to relieve themselves. Owner is great with communication. We’ll definitely be back to Alpine and only stay here.

Amazing view stay
It’s in a gorgeous setting! We saw many elk almost every night and morning. It was quiet and comfortable. We’re going back in July and August. Looking forward to it!

Quiet secluded cabin
Wonderful log cabin 1 mile from Luna lake. Cabin is stocked and ready for you to enjoy. We saw elk from the front porch, caught trout in Luna lake, and got some relaxation in the beautifully decorated log cabin. We look forward to coming back.

Nice Little Cabin
Stayed just a couple nights during a road trip back home and enjoyed our stay. Lot's of elk and other wildlife running around which was fun to watch. The place was clean and the owner was nice and accommodating.

Very Nice.
We enjoyed our trip. The cabin has 3 nice sized bedrooms and big area for dining. Watching TV at night with a big group is a little hard but we made it work. Lots of elk were calling at night close by. Very nice trip with good trails close by for trail riding.

Elk Paradise!
The cabin is in a gorgeous location, very far from the beaten path, with a fabulous, wrap-around porch. There aren't many neighbors, so the property is very private. And the setting is ideal for dogs--ours didn't want to leave. One dawn, we saw more than 60 elk, grazing in the meadows surrounding the house. And their calls were eerily beautiful; the experience was like a magical dream. The cabin is decorated to the hilt with elk stuff--when you arrive, it makes you laugh, but by the time you leave, you will get it. Unlike the listing, there are 3 BR, not 2, and 2 baths, not 3. While the custom windows offer great forest views, at night, the electric lights are inadequate, in the living spaces and in the bathrooms.

Wonderful place to relax away from the world
Our family very much enjoyed our stay at this cabin! The kitchen was fully stocked as promised, the beds were comfortable, & the outside deck was excellent for taking in the views. Our stay was mostly rainy over the 4 days we were there but we did not mind a bit! There was always something to do or see nearby. Minor issue upon check in was quickly remedied by owner, Denise, who was very pleasant & accommodating. Highly recommend!

Heavenly Cabin
We LOVED our stay at Denice’s Alpine cabin. It’s a delightful little home featuring every detail that makes an Alpine stay perfect. The location and site is picture-postcard gorgeous. You’re in a small enclave close enough to “downtown” Alpine yet far away enough that all you hear are the birds, elk and wind whispering through the trees. The property abuts National Forest, affording Grand vistas of Meadows, mountains and the critters that live there. Her cabin is as cozy and charming as you could ever wish for, including a wrap-around deck from which to enjoy nature, stunning views, and solitude. Our bed was incredibly comfortable and the bedroom windows afforded views of all the night stars. The furnishings and decor are charming, warm and inviting. It all adds up to a fairytale perfect stay in a cozy, yet sizable, mountain cabin. Highly recommend!

Piece of heaven
This is an absolutely wonderful place to stay, truly a find. The views and the cabin itself were fantastic. So quiet, lots of privacy AND perfect for dogs. We enjoyed every last minute. Also, the views from the master bedroom upstairs were amazing to wake up to each morning, almost like being in a tree house. We hope to come back again and were all sad to leave, including the fur kids.

Cozy and inviting
Everything we hoped for in a mountain retreat. Beautiful trees. Elk feeding in the meadow in the evenings. Covered patios to watch the wildlife. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms adequate. A lovely place to spend some time!

Tranquil retreat
Our family had a great time staying at the cabin. We had everything we needed: the beds were comfortable, the kitchen was stocked with all the necessities. It was clean and well decorated. We are very grateful to the owner for being prompt in communication and letting our family use this cabin for our short recuperation.

Beautiful location
The cabin does have a great view in a beautiful location. It is furnished well and well stocked with all the essentials. The beds need to be improved. A good nights sleep is essential for a restful stay. The main floor bed squeaks every time someone moves. The loft bed is worn out, two people can not sleep on their sides. You both roll to the center of the bed and can not sleep on the sides of the mattress. In the morning I killed a large black spider on the white sheet on the bed in the upstairs loft. Quite scary to think I slept with it. The light/fans need to be adjusted so they can be operated without taking the switch apart. Thanks for following up on our request for help in operating them. . A greeting note would be helpful to the people staying so they know how to use the wood stove, find local stations on the TV, and general use of the cabin.

Thank you for suggestions. Beds are memory foam and new but will add toppers. Not sure about spiders never seen any in the house but we are in the mountains... The light switch is a dimmer switch and the knob had to be pulled off and button pushed in has been fixed.
