Very good location near restaurants and attractions, rooms are new and clean. I just had bad experience with one of the receptionists.

Every thing was Good the stuffe, the service, room service, reception, cleaning. I didn't go swim, but i think the water is clean and very nice. My only complain, was i saw a woman in the swimming pool with her clothes, this is not acceptable at all fore hygienic Reason, and the garde man was there didn't say anything.

The hotel itself is lovely, all the staff work really hard at keeping it lush and green. It’s clean and nothing is too much trouble. My issue is with the cafe and restaurant next door- if you visit during Ramadan don’t expect peace and quiet . Loud music untill 3am most nights. I would definitely recommend the hotel outside the holly period.

This place in the middle of everything you need and the service very good with decent breakfast. My only problem the disco club which was loud and you can hear it all night from your bedroom. If you are a light sleeper then get a room far away from the disco club. I recommend this place.

Amazing Staff
I have never met more friendly staff ever. You have such a warm reception when you arrive and throughout your stay. The hotel and rooms are clean and modern. Great views from the room of the beach. Lots of restaurants nearby the hotel.

Fantastic stay
We had a really enjoyable stay at the Sunrise Alex Hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly throughout and couldn’t do enough to help us. The duty managers were particularly friendly, always checking we had everything we needed. The breakfast was delicious and had a range of options. We would like to particularly thank Menatallah, who was a huge help on our final day - she is a credit to your team!

Very nice location. But most normal rooms don't have a direct water view facing forward. Water view is looking out to the side. Only suites had direct forward facing seaview. Also only first floor rooms with balconies, higher standard rooms have large tinted window but no balcony. Also we booked a king bed but we're given two full beds which they then just merged to make a larger bed but it was still two separate beds pushed together, no night stand. The people are nice but English is difficult. The resort itself is great if you have the time, breakfast buffet, beach, coffee shop. Wish they did not serve alcohol. And wish there was a dedicated prayer area in the hotel.

A quiet seaside oasis in Alexandria. Booked deluxe non smoking room and had wonderful beach/sea view. Room was nicely outfitted..bedding was quality and relatively new. Balcony spacious. Bathroom is large but tub configuration a little dated/showing age. Staff is excellent at all levels and security is taken seriously. Highly recommend a stay here.

Cheerful, comfy and direct to the beach unlike most of the hotels in Alexandria. It has a unique location where in a short walking distance you can enjoy the quiteness by the beach or chill in the city center and other attractions.

Sunrise Alex is a beautiful hotel on the corniche of the Mediterranean sea. My husband and I were there for three nights. We arrived early morning and of course did not expect to get our room so left our luggage. We were told at check in to go ahead and do the check in registration and he would call to let us know when the room was available. So we went to lunch and called around 1pm. We were told to return as the room was now available. Upon arrival we were told to take a seat in the lobby for a few minutes. Guests were checking in and there were several hotel staff here and there, consulting with each other! After a while we asked for our turn. I would like to add that I had an injured knee. We got our keys and headed to our assigned room. It was not sea front, did not have a king size bed and was not a non smoking room as we had requested! It took another half hour and a manager to get a suitable room. My compliments to Ahmed, Mgr. who was very helpful and pleasant. The room was adequately furnished though somewhat weathered. Unfortunately it had to be smoking as their non smoking rooms are limited! The breakfast buffet is plentiful with several local dishes and an omelet station. Restaurant staff could use some training and learn to greet and smile at guests! The beach is well kept and I had a lovely swim although it is mid October. Avoid weekends (Thursday/Friday/Sat) as there are local crowds and weddings. On the whole, it was a pleasant and interesting stay.
