The best thing is the view across looe and out to sea. Looe is a very nice place to stay with good shops and pubs. It is handy for a number of national trust properties. "Lovely stay at St Mathias Lodge in Torquay. We chose this location as our son lives nearby & it was perfect for visiting him. It’s about a 15-20 min walk down to Torquay harbour & is uphill on way back. The cottage has everything you need. A fully equipped kitchen, which we didn’t use as we are out everyday, but it’s perfectly good for cooking, it even has a dishwasher. Everything is spotless and the rooms are good sizes. "Stayed here for 4 nights. The house was well equipped and very clean. Communication with host was great. A lovely gesture by the host leaving a bottle of prosecco and box of fudge. Very close to the beachfront, which was great as parents are almost 90 years old. Didn't realise the caravan park was directly in front which was our main view, small view of the sea could be seen from balcony.
