"Hotel is heritage listed building and is exquisitely decorated with antiques and decor true to its era. We were looking for a place to stay for a family celebration, where we could have dinner and stay the night without travelling anywhere and booked elenors restaurant as well as 4 rooms. Two weeks before our stay they closed the restaurant and cancelled our booking, which meant we had to drive to a nearby restaurant for dinner. It was disappointing and no real reason was given. "Overall stay was pleasurable. Nice cottage and quiet surrounds. Just a few things- Lucky key box was already open as we weren’t sent a code or check-in details. Cobwebs and dust hanging from windows, ceilings and fan was an eyesore. In the accommodation folder says bacon, eggs and yogurts were supplied for breakfast, no yoghurts, and weren’t expecting Aldi packaged sliced ham instead of bacon and Aldi prima’s. No curtain to cover the window facing the loft bedroom which let the hot sun beam...
