The Kite offers fantastic value, comfort, and easy coastal access for individuals, couples, and families!

This A-frame home has an all natural wood interior,
and is fully equipped with a fireplace, deck on both levels, modern kitchen, & DSL in all rooms.
There is an ocean view from the upstairs.

This home is only four houses away from the historic 804 Trail...
it is an easy walk to tide-pooling, rocky coast exploration and a six mile stretch of sandy beach.

It was everything that was advertised and then some. It was a perfect location, comfortably fit my family of 5. If i were going to have any complaints at all it would be the heating/cooling situation. Otherwise it was spot on and we truly enjoyed ourselves and it saved us money by being outside of a main town. 100% worth it and i would do it again in a heartbeat

“The Kite” matched the photos. Short drive to downtown location just a couple minutes walk to the coastal trail in a quiet neighborhood. No ocean view except a minor one from an upstairs balcony but didn’t expect one. Stall shower was fine but very small. A bit musty inside but open windows cured that. We would stay here again,

We had a wonderful stay in the A frame. It was comfortable, had a well equipped kitchen and, I can only speak for myself, my bed was really comfortable.

Lovely spot

We try to stay in Yachats every year and loved this spot the best! Only things noticed were that under the beds weren't cleaned (kids under 5 crawl under beds....a lot). But the whole house was just wanted we needed and we didn't feel like anything was really lacking. Had some issues with figuring out which of the three DVD/VHS players worked, but got one of them to play a DVD 3

Peaceful location

This quaint A frame is on a quiet street with a two minute walk to the ocean. We appreciated how clean everything was. I have a dust mite allergy so really appreciated the linoleum floors as most places at the coast have carpet, which is the worst. It even had seasoned cast iron pans!

Great

Great overal. Only disappointing thing was the fireplace. I brought wood from home only to find out that I couldn’t use it. They only wanted presto logs. Needless to say I didn’t use it as much as I wanted to.

Overall good. A bit lacking on supplies and toiletries. Overall clean with the exception of under the beds. Looks like that has been missed for a bit. Would recommend and stay again. Property managers were very good.

Flying High at the Kite

Wonderful stay at the Kite in Yachats. Tucked into a quiet neighborhood with easy access both to the beach (literally a one-minute walk away) and the lovely little beach town of Yachats. Pictures are accurate, communication with the host was easy and the check-in process was blessedly perfunctory. The beach was amazing and rather than leave it there I'll actually explain why. It offers a remarkable combination of long sandy stretches out in the open interspersed with small miniature coves filled with a menagerie of aquatic wildlife including mussels, starfish, crabs, and sea anemones. A veritable wonderland my five-year-old son loved to play in and explore. The house was clean and well-supplied with all the various necessities. My wife and son loved our stay and so did I. Lastly, it was very reasonably priced, especially in this current market, and worth every penny. I would highly recommend staying here and would love to come again.

The property was very cozy. We made the mistake of 5 seniors renting a one-bedroom house. The TV use & options was very limited. This needs to be explained better. Overall, was a great rental.

Amazing location

This house is right on the 804 trail and you can walk to a beach. Amazing ocean view with less than a block walk. It was a perfect house for our group, my kids loved it. Really close to Yachats City Center and other fun activities.

The kite was a great place near 804 trail.

All and all the whole stay was a great experience. Location was clean, quiet, and had plenty of room for a family of four. We loved how close it was to the ocean and being able to hear the waves at night. Would definitely recommend it to friends, as well as consider staying there again.

Beautiful views and easy access to rocky shores, tide pools,and historic trail.

Good location for exploring Yachats as well as Newport. Lots of things to see and do. Overall very comfortable stay.

Well equipped house. Good cooking pots & pants, silverware, toaster, coffee maker, etc.

The rental agents were not very responsive to advance questions. Left messages but often got no call back. Written directions to property were not explicit enough-- glad we had Google maps. The property was still being cleaned when we arrived, we were not able to get in until 4:30 (4 was the checkin time, which is pretty late.

Comfortable at the Kite

This A-frame cabin was clean, comfortable and very well furnished. The only issue we had was that the CD player wasn't hooked up to the TV, and there were no batteries in the remote which I finally discovered after trying to figure things out for 15 minutes with no success. Netflix worked though so we watched that instead. Operation instructions would have been nice. The two main bedroom mattresses were very comfortable, and the heating was good. We had a very nice stay even though the weather was really bad and winds were 70 mile winds that shook the cabin for about 6 hours. It was a pleasant and relaxing weekend playing games, eating and talking.

Anniversary vacay at the Kite

The A frame was quite cozy and clean when we arrived. The outside area needs some yard work done so not very inviting. We could hear the ocean but could only see a small portion from upstairs bedroom and deck. I believe a couple of houses were built sinkephoto on VRBO. It was a very short distance coastal walk and we really. enjoyed that about the location of cabin. The neighborhood quiet except one night the guy next door made a lot of noise hacking and coughing. We really did have fun there though, very comfy with lots of amenities. Did not quite figure out how to get sat/cable tv, but enjoyed a movie with Netflix. We also have an aframe rental and it is quite different, inside The Kite it is just like a regular cabin.

Rustic getaway on the Oregon Coast

This is a great location for walking access to town as well as the 804 Trail and a beautiful sandy beach. We spent an enjoyable week exploring the coastline and relaxing in the little cabin.

Perfect location!

The Kite was perfect for us! The full kitchen allowed us to cook all our meals and we were steps away from the beach and trail. The cottage was clean and comfortable! We want to stay here again!

A week on the coast

Lovely house a minute walk to beach! Great space in home! Well supplied. Fireplace, deck, washer & dryer. Shower is quite small. Home was very comfortable! We enjoyed our stay and would recommend & return!
