Auch die Eigentümerin, Michelle, war beim Empfang sehr bemüht und freundlich. Der erste Eindruck war daher sehr positiv und wir freuten uns auf unseren Aufenthalt. "It is a lovely stately old home with rooms that are fairly large. As to be expected, the floors creak, the doors let lots of light under them etc. Breakfasts were interesting and the savoury options were very tasty. The place needs a bit of general maintenance (loose knobs on cabinets and shower, squeaky door hinges, dead batteries in the gas fireplace starter etc). "Room had no fire alarm and was extremely hot. When we were leaving on the last day, the snow wasn't shovelled by check out time. Many thinks about money and damage deposit. It's okay for summer but not a hotel establishment. "

"The staff were friendly and attentive from the moment we walked in. There was a planned hydro outage during our stay due to local work being done in the area and staff handled it very well. Notifying each client as we walked in and explaining how the generators would keep one elevator working and there would still be hot breakfast available etc. The lobby area was great, offering late night service (beverages, snacks etc) and some game tables so we could enjoy a good old pool game.
