"I get together with a group of old friends who all live far apart now every fall, and we've been staying here for the last few years. It's always clean, well maintained, and comfortable. It's the perfect spot for a quiet weekend."

Not only was it easy to find and right in the middle of where we wanted to be, it was exactly as advertised as a quaint, clean, and very cozy one bedroom cottage that i would highly recommend anyone visiting Door County to look into staying at. "Ryan and Heidi are the Best. We had some minor issues and they came a took care of them that same day. I have read some reviews where they talked about the water but if you ever lived in the country you know there can an odor . We used the water for everything. My siblings and I have my been doing yearly get aways for about 30 years and this was one of the better places we have stayed Again thank you Ryan and Heidi."

"We loved our stay at Lake Effect. It is a nicely remodeled and thoughtfully appointed getaway that had us wishing we never had to leave. Comfortable and cozy, picturesque and peaceful. We want to go back! Also, great host! Accommodating and great communication. No worries! "

"The cabin was cozy and comfortable. There were some coffee cups in the cupboard that were dirty, but they were probably left there by previous guests. Pictures of the yard were a little misleading. We thought we were closer to the lake, but it was actually through the neighbors yard that we could see. My sister had a hard time trying to work the tv. Instructions would be nice for those not familiar. But we did have a great stay there and i would recommend them."
