"2 days well spent at this lovely homely property! Located in a great place with easy parking. Richard is a right bloke, would loved to have stayed up talking to him at the bar but after walking the local fells went to relax in the brilliant room. The hosts put their heart & soul into making everything perfect.
We would certainly return. "

"A lovely apartment right in the centre of Bowness-On-Windermere. The accommodation was spotless, cleaning spray, washing up liquid and cloths were provided.
The bed was lovely and comfortable.
People have mentioned the stairs up to the apartment. They caused us no problem but if people have mobility problems I can understand they might be a problem.
If we return to the area we would stay here again. I am glad I didn’t book somewhere in Windermere, this was five minute walk to the lake. "

"Oakfold house is convenient located in Bowness on Windermere, a mere 2-min walk to bus-stops going towards the pier or to Grasmere. We had also walked 15 mins to the pier and 15 mins to Windermere town centre.Its proprietors, Chris & Robin are attentive and hospitable hosts who ensure we have a pleasant and memorable stay in Windermere, giving us advice to make our way around. "This guest house was a great place to stay. The room was comfortable, clean, and spacious. The owners were so friendly and helpful. They really made you feel at home. Convenient for walking around the shops and accessing restaurants. Easy and convenient parking. Great stay. Would recommend it!"

"Excellent location. The decor was lovely throughout the hotel. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Views were great from lounges and dining rooms. Pool although small was a pleasant bonus. "
