Captain's Quarters: Main Floor Suite of Classic 1940's Beach Cottage Duplex

Enjoy breezes from the ocean just 1/2 block east or watch sunsets over the sound only one short block west while rocking on the porch of this classic 1940's Beach Cottage. The recently renovated kitchen is well equipped and open to a spacious living room comprises this main floor suite that features two bedrooms (1 Queen and 1 Twin), and a single bath. A large living room hosts a fireplace and game table area as well as a queen sleeper sofa in the TV area. There is an open bar to the kitchen with a separate dining area. The house has an outdoor shower with hot and cold water on the ground floor in the laundry area which is equipped with two washer and dryers. We provide beach chairs, umbrellas, a cart, and various other beach equipment. When not at the beach, take a break and relax in the garden swing or grill out in the fenced-in backyard. Each floor has two designated parking spaces. There is ample off-street parking is in front of the house if your group has more than two vehicles.

Parking is limited. Each floor is allowed 2 cars in the driveway at any time. Allow room for 4 cars side by side, please.
Sand: Please use the footbath after the beach. Rinse bathing suits and shake out beach towels well to remove as much sand before using the washer.
Grilling: Pull the grill outside and please scrape down and clean it after using it.

The pink house is perfect. It’s actually much nicer than it looks in the photos. Whoever did the remodel did a fantastic job.The kitchen is very well equipped. Location is fantastic, two minute walk to the beach, even shorter walk to the sound, walkable to several restaurants. Ryan and Kelly were both great. We appreciated Kelly checking in with us before the storm hit. We also appreciated the ample linen delivery at the beginning of our stay. We definitely had more towels than we needed, but please don’t change that! Also LOVED that you supply beach chairs, wagons etc. — we arrived by air, so we’re very limited in what we could bring with us. The only thing I would note regarding cleanliness is that the window sills need to be vacuumed. Everything else was very clean. We did wish there was a king bed in the master. It took us a few minutes to figure out the entertainment system, so maybe some instructions on that would be helpful. Overall, we had a marvelous stay, and I do believe we will be back!

The Captain’s Quarters at the Pink House was just right for our group of one couple and two friends. We loved the generous porch and rocking chairs. It is a short walk to the beach at the end of the street and less than 10 minutes to downtown’ Wrightsville Beach. It has a nice open floor plan. The downstairs warm shower was perfect to rinse off san and salt. We definitely made daily use of beach chairs and umbrella. Ryan and Kelly responded right away and took care of all of our requests and needs - thank you. We hope to come back.

Well equipped and spacious living areas.

We had stayed at the 3 bedroom upstairs unit before but enjoyed the downstairs 2 bedroom unit more. It’s more of an open floorplan with more living area to spread out. Kitchen was very well equipped. Our 10 year found the pull out couch very comfortable with a memory type mattress. Great place to vacation!

Loved the Pink House

Great house & location!

Great property and amazing location! House was fully equipped with everything we needed...even beach towels and beach chairs! Kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals and there was plenty of space to sit at dining room and breakfast table. House is in great condition and offered good sleeping spaces. Generous front porch was perfect for enjoying the day in the shade. Location of the house was perfect. Only a few doors down from the beach and a couple of blocks to restaurants and grocery store. Can't say enough good things!

Great location but needs a new cleaning crew

The property is in a great location and close the beach and restaurants. Check in was easy and Ryan the on site manager was easy to contact with questions and he even brought us a big shrimp pot to for a shrimp boil! Unfortunately the unit was not very clean, especially the bathroom. On our last day when we had a huge rain storm, the dryer didn't work so we couldn't dry our beachwear/towels etc. Ryan offered to come check it out, but because of timing it wouldn't have helped us out. My suggestion would be to get a better cleaning crew since it a perfect location for a smaller group.

Captain’s Quarters

Great location! Walkable to beach, restaurants and shops along Lumina. All communication with host was quickly responded to. I was able to rent top floor Eagle’s Nest for additional family members. Everyone enjoyed the vacation, and we will rent again.

Pink House Retreat

We’re not strangers to The Pink. House as our daughter lived here in college. The home was a perfect place to make new memories and remember old ones. The ample seating, well suited kitchen, comfortable bedding and amazing location to the beach, loop and heart of Wrightsville can’t be beat! The backyard was an added bonus, too. Barbara is a wonderful, gracious host! We hope to be back soon!

Great stay, gracious hostess

Barbara was a wonderful, communicative hostess even from the initial booking period. Her home is lovely and easy to the beach and restaurants. I enjoyed walking the loop each morning, and our family walked down to get ice cream one afternoon. Beach is narrow and very busy in this part of Wrightsville, but that’s not a negative reflection of the home. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking. If you have upstairs renters, it can be a little noisy. Overall, super happy with our time here and would love to rent again!

Enjoyed our stay. House had everything we needed. Could have left some beach gear at home, because they supplied it all- towels, chairs, umbrella, boogie boards… Location was awesome! Thankful for comfy pullout couch as we learned (reminded) that 6’3” college kid doesn’t really fit a twin anymore! Love Wrightsville and this location!

Relaxing Beach Getaway

Had an excellent time in this wonderful rental. The house was very clean and spacious. Located 6 houses from what felt like a private beach and walking distance to restaurants and small grocery store. Owner/property manager were exceptional in their quick response and very accommodating to our request for earlier check-in. Highly recommend this rental. Looking forward to another visit!

It was a beautifully located house just 50 yards from the beach front. There were a few hiccups during our stay due to cleanliness of the kitchen. The owners and property manager we’re very responsive about the issue. Overall a great place to stay with cute restaurants within walking distance.
