"Dossie hotel is charming and close to a lot of places. Room was comfortable, quiet and clean as we expected. The only bad thing about hotel was some (not all) employees seemed to have no patient with foreign people that do not speaks english fluent. For a city like Portland which loves to show how much diversity they embrace, I was really disappointed. I saw some employees laughing at our back when we had to return because we forgot to ask something. This really hurt my feelings and disappointed...

"I was worried about what I've read in other reviews, but it was all great. Location, cleaness, quietness, access to public transportation when needed, parking on spot. About location: by the river, 2 or 3 blocks from major stores downtown, but the area itself, for some reason, is desert - hard to find a soul in the streets, right in downtown. The hotel itself looks dated specially in the corridors but the room looked new, renovated, very spacious, with a fridge and coffee machine, free coffee...

"We have stayed at this hotel a couple of times before. It’s in a great spot kind of tucked away from the hustle and bustle in the beautiful old building. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Great lobby area too."
