"This place is truly special. The enjoyment begins the minute you walk in and meet the lovely staff. The room itself was perfect-spotlessly clean and totally comfortable. We ate in the restaurant and it was a truly incredible meal. To top off the delicious food, the chef himself came out to introduce himself afterwards so we were able to learn about where all those ingredients came from (all local and totally fresh). "This place is truly unique. We were met at reception and shown to the breakfast room and various lounges, then to our room. All had spectacular views. There are tea and coffee making facilities in a kitchen area (as well as in the room) and an honesty bar. All are decorated to a 5-star standard. We ate at the local pub a short walk away along with other residents and had a very pleasant evening. "The Mansion House was a very pleasant place to spend our few days in South Wales. The hotel and grounds were kept beautifully and the views over the estuary are just stunning .Breakfasting and dining were of a high standard and from our experience of 5* hotels , deserving of their rating. Our room was very pleasant ,though a “proper”wardrobe would have been appreciated.
