Privacy and Luxury! Three Luxurious and Unique Cottages with Beach on private lake-all for you! Enjoy new hot tub, kayaks, peddle boat & trails on our private Spring Fed pond -wonderful swimming! 68 acres of our forest trails & adjacent 300 acre State Forest. Super-fast internet! Enjoy gracious, well appointed homes, and gather on the huge deck with fire table and hot tub. Dog Friendly! You will be the only guests on the pond, but you might see our crew, keeping everything beautiful!

An Exclusive Sanctuary : FarAway Pond

Escape to FarAway Pond, a 68-acre private estate in the heart of the White Mountains. This serene haven offers three uniquely designed and luxuriously appointed cottages nestled along the shores of a pristine, spring-fed pond. Guests enjoy unparalleled privacy and exclusive access to kayaks, paddle boards, a pedal boat, and an extensive network of trails that traverse our private 68 acres of meadows and woodlands, as well as the adjoining 300-acre State Forest. High-speed internet is available throughout. FarAway Pond is a dog-friendly destination. The pond, replenished by pure mountain springs is perfect for swimming. Please note: Guests enjoy exclusive use of the property. Our dedicated staff is present to ensure the impeccable upkeep of the grounds.

The sandy beach features 2 roofed and decked pavilions, huge native sand beach, gas barbecue, wood fired pizza oven, fire pit (with wood) tables, chairs and chaise lounges, plus a volleyball/badminton net and sand toys.

Cottage Accommodations:

The LUX Cottage: This main cottage is designed for entertaining, featuring a spacious kitchen with all the gadgets and elegant china and silverware, plus outdoor and children`s dishes. A wraparound deck with an outdoor kitchen provides panoramic pond views and access to graceful bridges leading to private islands. The screened gazebo and wide hammock offers a tranquil setting for relaxation. The Pond Cottage provides a luxurious retreat with a jetted tub and separate shower, half bath, and laundry room. The living room includes a comfortable queen-sized sofa bed and 2 well-equipped workspaces.

The LUX Cottage offers high-speed internet, climate control, and an electric fireplace. All cottages include a curated selection of books and games.

Experiences and Activities:

Guests are invited to explore the estate`s private trails or venture into the adjacent 300-acre State Forest, home to miles of hiking trails and a historic gold mine. The pond is stocked with native trout, no fishing license required. We provide the poles, you bring the bait! FarAway Pond offers a unique four-season escape, ideal for experiencing the vibrant fall foliage or enjoying winter activities at nearby Cannon and Bretton Woods ski resorts.

FarAway Pond warmly welcomes guests with dogs. We request that all canine companions be well-socialized and remain under the control of their owners. We offer sleeping mats and sleeping bags for adventurous children upon request.

The adjacent St. George Guest House provides a private deck with patio doors overlooking the pond, a full bathroom, and a convenient kitchenette. A cozy sleeping loft is accessible via a spiral staircase, (we recommend this for the more agile guests) and a full-sized murphy bed is available in the living room. The St. George Guest House features high-speed internet, climate control, and an electric `wood` stove. There is a gas grill and smokeless fire pit on the deck

The Sun House offers an expansive deck with an outdoor dining area complete with a gas fire table and a distinctive all-wood interior. The bathroom (separated from the bedroom by a folding screen) includes a Japanese soaking tub with a handheld shower wand. The bedroom offers an adjustable full-size bed, and the living room provides a queen-sized sofa bed. This cottage is thoughtfully furnished with elegant china and comprehensive cookware.

Guests may have the run of the property. Our beautiful 68 acres requires a lot of upkeep so you may encounter staff or volunteers who water the flowers, clear the trails and keep the property in trim, but no other guests will be allowed. Owner lives up the hill in the barn (not visible from the cottages, but close enough for a quick response to requests and questions.)

I am generally in residence up the hill at the barn-available for advice, directions, dreams and wishes. I also have a small Tibetan terrier-Miss Minerva, who has her own yard, but she occasionally escapes. She is very friendly to guests and visiting dogs.

Close to town but with a totally private feel-The residences at the pond are a perfect home base for all the hiking, climbing, rafting and paddling that the White Mountains and the great North Woods has to offer. The only problem is that you won`t want to leave!

GUESTS AND VISITORS
To ensure everyone`s safety and for insurance purposes, only the guests listed on the reservation are permitted on the property. We thank you for your understanding!

QUIET HOURS
Please help us maintain the peaceful nature of our lakeside setting. Quiet hours begin at dusk. To be mindful of our neighbors, please do not play amplified music outdoors at any time. Sound travels easily over the water, and we appreciate your cooperation.

WATERFRONT SAFETY
Our pond is a wonderful feature, and we want you to enjoy it safely! Please remember:
Swim at Your Own Risk: There is no lifeguard on duty.
Supervise Children: Adults must supervise children at all times when they are near or in the water.
Water & Alcohol: For your safety, please do not use the pond, kayaks, or boats if you have been drinking.

PARKING
Please keep all vehicles on the gravel driveway and park at the end of the walkway to your cottage. We have well, septic, and electrical lines running underground beneath the lawn, and driving on it could cause significant damage.

DOGS
We love dogs! All dog guests must be well socialized and kept under the control of the owner as we may have several dogs on the property at one time. We expect our guest dogs to not be aggressive towards people or other animals, on or off leash. Dog owners are responsible for their dogs actions.

FIREARMS AND FIREWORKS
For the safety and peace of everyone, firearms and fireworks are strictly prohibited on the property.

We want to welcome to enjoy the pond and all of it`s surprises. Please let us know if you have questions or concerns. chances are, we can fix the problem easily. One more note-this 68 acres requires a LOT of upkeep and you may see our gardeners, grounds keepers and tree guys around from time to time. We will try to give you a heads up when to expect the crew.
