The Northwood Chalet is located on the 1st Fairway of the Nicklaus North Golf Course at Whistler Mountain, in prestigious Green Lake Estates with incredible views of Blackcomb Mountain. and just a 3-minute drive to the Village and ski slopes. You have snowshoeing, cross country skiing, hiking and biking right outside the back door! In this 3200 square-foot, private chalet, you have everything imaginable for the perfect family vacation: 2 fireplaces, air-conditioning (a rare find in Whistler but fabulous in the warm summer months), 5 bedrooms (4 king beds and 4 twin XL beds) (sleeps 10 adults; we permit 12 if 2 are small children), 4.5 bathrooms, chef's kitchen, large Dining Table for 12, Sub-Zero Fridge/freezer, ice-maker, gas cooktop, electric oven, dishwasher, microwave, natural gas barbecue with searing grill, 3 coffee makers, 2 gas fireplaces, private outdoor hot tub with LED lighting for 7, 6 flat-screen TVs with HD boxes, Sonos sound system with 8 different zones inside and outside, incredible backyard patio with sectional seating, Restoration Hardware natural gas firepit, chaise lounges, infrared heated outdoor dining on balcony with fire table, pool table, foosball table, ping pong table, large garage, boot dryers and warmers and ski racks. You can walk to the Village - we do it twice a day - it only takes 30 minutes along a beautiful path by Fitzsimmons Creek. If the guest cancels their reservation, and we are able to secure a replacement reservation, we will provide a refund of the lesser of 90% of the amount paid by the guest or 90% of the amount received for the replacement reservation. If we cannot secure a replacement reservation, we cannot provide a refund. The VRBO fees paid by the guest will not be refunded but the cleaning fee and any additional person fees will be. We recommend all travelers purchase travel cancelation insurance.
In the winter season, you can't beat this location. The Northwood Chalet Whistler is so close to the base of Blackcomb and Whistler Mountain for downhill skiing and snowboarding. For cross country skiing and snowshoeing, you can walk right out the back door and be on your way along the Valley Trail. We watch people crosscountry ski along the trail from our living room!
In the spring, summer and fall, you can't beat the Northwood Chalet as we have air-conditioning and screens on all of our sliding doors and windows. We are located right on the first fairway of the famous Nicklaus North Golf Course where the golfing is truly world-class. We are also a 3-minute walk to the Whistler Airport where you can fly in via float plane onto Green Lake from the Vancouver or Victoria area in the summer (it's an incredible flight!) On Green Lake, you can boat, water ski, paddle board, wakeboard and swim - all within a 2-minute drive from the Northwood Chalet. If biking or hiking are more your style, we are located right where you want to be with 1-minute access to biking and hiking trails. In any season, you have the convenience of a 3-minute walk to Table Nineteen, the fabulous Clubhouse Restaurant overlooking Nicklaus North Golf Course and Green Lake, popular for weddings and other special celebrations due to the incredible views, food, service and location. Year after year, the patio at Nicklaus North is voted the best patio in all of Whistler!
We cater to families and responsible groups of adults; this is not a party house. The Northwood Chalet is located in a luxury neighborhood where everybody respects their neighbours. The Resort Municipality of Whistler strictly enforces all noise bylaws: No outside noise, music or use of the hot tub after 11pm.
16% Tax (GST, PST and MDRT) is payable on all reservations less than 27 nights in duration. No taxes are applicable for bookings of 30 nights or longer. All prices are set in $CDN but may appear in your country's currency in your quote. Please ask if you are unsure. GST # 82036 0238.
Terms: The Guest shall return the completed and signed rental contract to the Homeowner within 7 days of making a reservation. We require provision of government-issued ID from the guest booking the property. Minimum age for all renters is 30 years unless children are travelling with parents or grandparents. Maximum occupancy is 12 adults, or 14 persons provided that at least 2 are children. As this is a residential home, some defects to the property, equipment, electronics, plumbing or amenities at the home may arise. We make our best efforts to resolve any defects immediately; however, delays may be beyond our control. No discounts or refunds will be provided for defects at the property. The VRBO Security Deposit will be used toward any damage, breakage, fines, fees, extra charges, etc. The Guest remains liable to pay for any fees, fines, charges, damage, costs, or liability arising during the Rental Period in excess of the VRBO Security Deposit.
RENTAL RULES - The Guest shall accept all the Rental Rules and shall ensure that all persons in the Rental Party abide by them.
1. Strict Enforcement. The Homeowner reserves the right to evict any Guest or member of the Rental Party if there has been any breach of any of the Rental Rules. No refunds will be provided if an eviction is made. 2. Smoking. Smoking on the property is strictly forbidden. 3. Additional Guests/Invitees. No persons other than those listed in the Rental Party on the Rental contract may attend at the property at any time unless prior written authorization has been obtained from the Homeowner. This is not a party house. 4. Furnishings. Keep the property and all furnishings in good order. Do not move any beds or furniture. Only use appliances for their intended uses. 5. Electronics. Do not unplug any cords for any electronics except so as to reboot as required in which case plug back in. Do not change the settings on any electronics including but not limited to the TVs, HDTV boxes or Sonos music system as reprogramming will be required and fees apply. 6. Pets. Pets are not allowed at the property. A breach of this rule will result in immediate eviction and fines without any refund. 7. Noise. It is imperative that the noise level is reasonable at all times, and in particular, between 11:00pm and 8:00am. No outside noise or music is permitted outside after 11:00 pm. Be considerate of the neighbors. We reserve the right to evict any guest and/or group about whom we have received a noise complaint. 8. Parking. All parking must be on the premises; no street parking. Towing may occur. Driveway/garage parking is available for 4-5 vehicles. 9. Cleaning. Cleaning fee covers up to 14 hours of cleaning plus removal of 1 bag of household garbage and 1 bag of recycling. Additional charges apply for excess. 10. Check Out. The Guest shall leave the house as they found it: a) properly clean the dishes, pots/pans, cutlery and all other cooking utensils used and put away in proper places; b) clean any spills on the stovetop and oven; c) wash and dry any hot tub/pool towels used during stay and put away; d) sort the garbage; e) put on the dishwasher with the final load of dishes before departing. 11) Toilets. Do not flush anything other than toilet paper. Feminine hygiene products, trash and/or disposable wipes should not be flushed at any time. 12) Garbage. As Whistler does not have garbage removal services, the Guest is responsible for sorting all garbage and recycling into the bins provided in the garage. The garbage removal fee is for 2 bags total. Never leave garbage of any kind outside for even a short period of time; it attracts wildlife and rodents. 13) Hot Tub. Hours: 8:00am to 11:00pm. Hot Tub safety rules: • Child safety. Never leave a child unsupervised near a Hot Tub. • Close Hot Tub. When not in use, ensure that the Hot Tub is closed. • No Glassware. Only use plastic drinkware provided. • Alcohol. Consumption of alcohol in the Hot Tub can be dangerous. • Immersion. Do not immerse head in Hot Tub or remain for long periods of time. 14) Umbrellas. Close and tie shut the patio umbrellas when not in use or in windy conditions. 15) Wildlife. Bears, coyotes, cougars and other wildlife are present in the Whistler area. These animals are dangerous and should be avoided. Do not leave any garbage or food items outside at any time as this will attract unwanted wildlife. 16) Fines: The following fines apply for breaches of the rental rules: $2000 for violation of no smoking rule or no pets rule $300 for any violation of any other rental rule 17) Administration Fees: $200 per item damaged or broken in addition to cost of replacement $500 for any reprogramming of electronics required after departure of guests $200 to return any items left at the property by the Rental Party $750 for each broken umbrella $100 for each extra hour of hour of cleaning required beyond 14 hours $100 for each extra bag of garbage or recycling.
