"This is the most wonderful place to stay. It is on a working farm but very close to York. Catherine was the most amazing host and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was cooked to order and couldn’t be faulted. Her recommendation for food was spot on and any questions were answered. My husband and I can’t wait to return in the future and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this to anyone considering staying here"

"Property lovely, high standard interior. Staff on reception felt a little awkward as if on guard sat at a desk near the stairs but were always friendly. Access was a little difficult due to cars parked around the entrance to the car park. I guess to avoid the additional charge per night extra charge which we paid. Upon leaving our car was covered in tree sap but it will wash off. We stayed for 4 days and no one came into our room to empty our bins, replenish toiletries or restock the hot drink...

"My room was spotless with a comfy double bed. Hot water was plentiful and pretty much instantly available. My room was a loft room at the top of the house. (Not really suitable for anyone with mobility problems but fine for everyone else). In addition to the the usual features of a bedroom it also had a space with fridge, microwave and small dining area. I didn't use the extra facilities as I was only there one night but it would be ideal for anyone wanting to reduce costs by preparing a simple...
