"I booked this lodge via VRBO as a mini break for my birthday with my 8 year old son. The VRBO website clearly stated that the lodge had a private hot tub, as did my booking confirmation. However, upon arrival I discovered that there was NO hot tub. The actual lodge was lovely but VRBO mis-advertised the property. "A great place to stay and a fantastic location for us , as it was very quiet and secluded. Checking out at 10am on departure day was not ideal , 12 noon would have been better. Booking through VRBO was a big mistake as they listed the lodge as having a Hot Tub , when in fact it didn’t have and the reception here could only apologise , as there was nothing they could do to help , because all the lodges were fully booked."

"I could live here! The lodge was close to the entrance, but in a cul de sac, so felt really secluded. Used the hot tub daily, the water was checked twice daily, so felt very confident it was clean and safe. The food in the restaurant was excellent and had a superb Sunday lunch. My partner had the chicken wings as a main, coupled with roast potatoes, an odd choice, but one they were happy to cater to! Couldn't fault the staff, they were all welcoming, friendly and helpful. "We absolutely loved staying at Roger’s home in Keswick! The three of us had plenty of room, all of the amenities we needed, and a beautiful garden courtyard to spend time together. It is a nice walk on a footpath to town, and a short distance to the Castlerigg Stone Circle. Roger was very helpful and gave us great recommendations for our stay in this gorgeous area. We hope to get back there again!"

"Really enjoyable stay in a nice setting, pity about the weather. Fair warning there are some works going on on the property grounds making it a bit more unsightly but nothing can be done about that. Overall great. Thank you."
