"This hotel has so much potential. The location is AMAZING - close to everything you need in NYC - and our room was spacious, spotless and very comfortable, with an excellent bathroom. The highlight of our stay was Guest Services Manager Ameenah Horne, who went above and beyond to help me and my autistic son when a package delivered to the hotel could not be found. She showed genuine empathy, patience and kindness - qualities that make a huge difference for families with disabilities. Unfortunately, our experience changed completely at checkout, when we were shocked by an unjustified $500 smoking charge, despite not having smoked in the room. Resolving it was extremely stressful and took a great deal of insistence - and tears - before a staff member finally accepted what I was saying. The charge was eventually removed, although I was still charged approximately $84 more than the amount on my final invoice, which I am disputing. I later found other online reviews mentioning disputes over smoking charges at this hotel, which was concerning. It is very disappointing because, without this incident, I would have given the hotel an excellent review. What could have been a wonderful stay ended with frustration and the upsetting feeling that my word as a guest was not trusted. Ameenah, however, deserves a glowing review for her outstanding service."

"Hotel antigo, mas muito bem localizado, limpo e confortável. A localização é, sem dúvida, um dos grandes diferenciais: excelente para quem quer aproveitar a cidade e fazer muitos passeios a pé. O café da manhã incluído na diária é gostoso, variado na medida certa e atende muito bem às necessidades. Como ponto negativo, o ar-condicionado do quarto é bastante barulhento e a climatização não é bem distribuída. Para quem dorme na cama ao lado do aparelho, o barulho e o frio acabam incomodando bastante; já na outra cama, praticamente não se sente o ar-condicionado. Também não conseguimos antecipar o check-in nem estender o check-out. Por isso, tanto na chegada quanto na saída, precisamos utilizar o guarda-volumes do hotel, que cobra US$ 1 por volume. No geral, tivemos uma boa estadia."

"Hotel extremamente bem localizado. Porém, o Wi-Fi é péssimo. O mesmo que não ter. Além disso, durante os três dias de estadias, foram cobrados valores em meu cartão de crédito (reserva), sem nenhum motivo, que alegaram que seriam estornados. Tirando esses dois pontos, recomendo a acomodação."

"Quarto limpos, roupas de cama e toalhas de qualidade, móveis ótimos, camareiras muito prestativas, tinha cafeteira e frigobar no quarto, e elas deixavam todo dia café, leite e açucar. No corredor tinha microondas, elevador ótimo, restaurante muito bom em baixo com comidas muito parecidas com a do Brasil. Banheiros sempre limpos, recepção ótima, até conseguimos fazer uma reunião numa sala acústica."
