Its a listed building and having breakfast in the old part of the house is so cool. That is a true South African breakfast. Delicious. Never tasted a eggs bennie that good."

"Annette was so friendly that we felt like home. The room had a good size and the bathroom was big. The breakfast was amazing, and they did the hot meal as you liked. The location was easy to go to different vineyards and there are good restaurants nearby. We highly recommend stay there. "

"The Grande Roche is a wonderful place with such kind, happy and thoughtful management and staff. In particular thank you to Marchello, Denai and Veena for making my stay so comfortable - you are wonderful people! The whole vibe is very chilled and friendly. "We stayed 3 nights in the Coach house recently. The rooms are fabulous and the views are stunning. Definitely 5* rooms however the whole place is let down by a few service issues. - We had no wifi in our rooms for the entire stay. When we enquired about this on day 1 we were told that it sometimes doesn't work and no effort was made to fix the problem. - Our plunge pool was filthy. There was sand in the bottom and when we looked at the neighbouring room's pool, ours was definitely green....

"Tolle Zimmer, sehr freundliche Besitzer und Personal. Nur der Service beim Essen hatte etwas gelitten. Das gleich bei zwei unabhängigen Bestellungen diese jeweils vergessen worden sind, war schon ärgerlich. Dennoch eine ganz tolle Unterkunft. Wenn ich mit der Familie mal wiederkomme, dann buche ich gern wieder hier. Danke nochmals für den tollen Aufenthalt."

"Big and confortable family room, cosy swimming pool and made to order hot and cold breakfast. Yolanda was the best host one could hope for. Despite the city being on a power outage due to a fire on the main electricity source, the staff did the best they could to keep us confortable. Her tips and directions were spot on and made our 3 night stay at Nuwerus a memorable one! I would definitely stay @ Nuwerus again.
