"The house is old but looks newly painted inside. It boasts a good size kitchen, dining room and 4 double bedrooms. There is a first floor bedroom if someone can’t walk the stairs. We used the screened side porch a lot and the hot tub every night. The only thing needed to enjoy outside hot tub are lights for the stairs to the deck. Close to Blue Ridge Parkway and 20 minutes from Charlottesville. "

"We chose this for our annual family Thanksgiving get together … a wonderful choice for three families with kids - lots of space, a well stocked kitchen, and so much overall charm and warmth. Very close to the fly fishing spots, breweries and restaurants. We accidentally locked ourselves out one time and the matter was quickly resolved - thank you! Would definitely recommend this beautiful home to families looking to visit Waynesboro."

"When I arrived there was glass on the front lawn. The lawn needed to be mowed. The storm door was missing the bottom spring. There was a musty smell when we went inside. The hand soap in the downstairs bathroom was empty. The handle on the shower door was loose. The barbecue grill had two sides. The left side was filthy and the right side was rusty. I have used vrbo before and I was extremely dissatisfied. We were given two dish towels. The kitchen window was missing a blind as well as the back...

"The abode is located in the basement of a very nice home in a quiet neighborhood. It has a private entrance, very spacious living room and a small kitchenette. There was plenty of towels provided as well as an ironing board/iton, broom and vacuum. Since it is in the lower level of a home, you do have the noise of people above you but it was very quiet at night and in the early morning.It snowed while we were visiting and the host was so kind he cleared our walkway too. We would definitely stay...

"This was a great place to stay. The location was remote enough for our liking, but was also close enough to larger cities to make it easy to get to.We stayed in the shire suite and because I am a big Lord of the Rings fan it made for great ambiance, especially the big round door.We would love to stay here again in the future."

"This was such a nice place to stay! I haven’t slept so well in a hotel prob ever! Very comfortable and clean. I loathe a barn door on a bathroom but I get the aesthetic they were going for. There were a lot of unhoused people right in front of the building all day and night but they aren’t going to bother anyone. Had a wonderful stay!"
