"Pura Vida" Fabulous 4 Bed Home near H St & Union Market

Welcome to "Pura Vida", our fabulous and recently renovated home in Washington DC. Located a couple blocks from H St and a couple minutes driving from Union Market, the unit is perfect for couples, families with children, or groups of friends who want to explore DC while staying at a beautiful and welcoming home.

Closest metro is NoMa -Gallaudet U New York Ave (about 20 min walking from the house and about 5 min driving). The condo is located in NE DC and a couple blocks from H St, 5 min minutes driving from Union Market, 10 minutes driving from the White House and all the main touristic attractions downtown. Whole Foods store is just 5 min walking. Closest airport is Reagan National Airport (20 min driving). Baltimore International Airport is about 45 min-1 hour driving and Dulles Airport is about 45 min-1 hour driving.

NO PETS. NO PARTIES. NO OUTSIDE GUESTS. Guests that are caught bringing pets or having parties without our consent will be required to leave the property immediately.

NO SMOKING. Smoking is strictly forbidden inside the property. Guests that are caught smoking inside the property will be required to leave the property immediately. Extra charges will be incurred to clean and remove the smoke smell from the property after checkout.

Firearms or any type of weapons are strictly not allowed in our property.

Two of the bedrooms have smart TVs. The living room has a smart TV and board games for the whole family to relax and enjoy. Dining table is also available.

Street parking is available in front of the property. Please watch street signs for parking hours. We usually recommend downloading parking apps like SpotHero to find affordable private parking spots in the area. Please do not park in the back of the property as that area is reserved for the unit downstairs. This property is a condo in a 2-condo townhouse.

**Property has 2 levels with stairs so itā€™s not suitable for people with limited mobility.**

Noise levels: the property is located in a big city so there will always be a certain level of noise from construction sites nearby, cars, buses, ambulances, firetrucks, etc. We do not issue reimbursements for street or construction noise. We appreciate your understanding.

High chair and pack n play crib are available for families traveling with infants or toddlers.

Fast speed Wi-Fi available throughout the unit.

Clean, well appointed, great communication, but get a parking spot through an app. The metro was a bit of a hike with luggage and tired kids, so we used ride services for most days. The hosts were very quick to respond, and there was a grocery store nearby. Overall, this was an incredibly easy stay.

Beautiful, Comfortable Stay ā€” Great Host & Easy Access to DC!

We had a wonderful stay! The home was beautiful, spotless, and had everything we needed for our trip. We visited during a major heat wave, and the AC kept the house perfectly cool, which was such a relief after long days of sightseeing.Traveling to and from the Capitol area by Uber was quick and easy for our group. We didnā€™t have much luck with all-day street parking, but using SpotHero made parking stress-free and affordable.The only small downside was that the water pressure in the showers was lower than weā€™re used to, but otherwise everything was perfect. The host was friendly and responsive whenever we had a question ā€” we really appreciated that!Overall, weā€™d definitely recommend this home for a comfortable DC visit.

Great place to stay!

Great place to stay for our visit to DC. The house was comfortable and clean with everything we needed. Itā€™s located a simple 15-20 min walk from the No-Ma Gallaudet metro station and also near Union station. Trader Joeā€™s was a 10-15 min walk away, which made picking up some groceries easy.Owners were helpful and quick to respond before our stay and during our stay.It was a great stay!

Wonderful stay

The property was beautiful. It was clean, tastefully decorated, but not cluttered. Claire was very responsive to requests. The Union Market was within easy walking distance, and we enjoyed eating and shopping there. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Short Stay in DC with Family

From start to finish, Claire was an awesome host who was quick to respond to any questions or concerns. The house was clean and large enough for our family. Everything we needed was there. The only thing I was concerned about was the neighborhood and parking. Unfortunately there is only 2 hour parking in front of the house. We had to carry and walk our luggage a block away. Also, there is a liquor store and bodega on the corner by the house that had people hanging outside and even the house across the street had people hanging out and drinking during the day with loud motorcycles and loud people. That would be the only complaint which has nothing to do with the quality of the home. Otherwise, stay was what we needed.

Nice house, very clean. We were a group of two families, 9 total and it felt like enough room, especially with 3 bathrooms. We had safety concerns of the area and didn't feel it was the safest place with kids.

Family vacation

We loved staying at this property. It was so clean and the owners were so good at staying in touch with us throughout the entire stay. The property is very cute. Our flight out was pretty early in the morning and we REALLY appreciated not have a long to do list to check out. Having transportation at this location would definitely help

Nice place near some great transit

The X2 line is only a few blocks away and is one of the easiest buses to use. If you don't mind a 20-30 minute bus ride (which is honestly nothing, just enough time to let the morning coffee kick in) to downtown it's the perfect place. Would stay again.

Amazing property for families - near DC attractions

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Pura Vida propertyā€”great setup with modern amenities. The property is located close to Union Station, making our commute to the National Mall and other attractions very easy. The host was super helpful and accessible in answering all my questions - both about the property, attractions, and most importantly parking. Would highly recommend anyone visiting DC with family to check this.

This place was great for our architecture firm to call home while we were in town for a conference. Conversation isnā€™t access during the day, ate at Maketto which was fabulous and had a great living room kitchen to relax after long days of seminars. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.
