Peaceful Cozy Water Front Cottage. Step back in time and ENJOY

Welcome to Camp Comfort! Cozy little cottage on Lazy Harbor West Wareham. Views of Beautiful Marion and Weweantic River leading to Buzzards Bay. Cottage has all the modern comforts you need for a great vacation. WIFI / Cable, microwave, washer/dryer, gas grill, fire pit, AC. Enjoy a relaxing Cape Cod vibe without having to fight traffic or cross the bridges. Cookouts and campfires add to the experience. Walking distance to sandy beach with loads of little crabs to be entertained by or enjoy the waterfront on either side of this private paradise peninsula. Walking distance to mini golf, ice cream stand and sit down dining. Close to the canal and train bridge and many other wonderful attractions. Cottage has 2 cozy bunk beds (sleeps 4 children), a futon bed, and a loft with a full size mattress for sleeping. Take a swim and enjoy a rinse in the outdoor shower. Relax on the deck and enjoy the breeze. It is a little slice of Heaven.

What a cozy little beach cottage! We had an excellent stay at this property. Being right in the water was amazing - we watched birds and deer from the back deck, and enjoyed the beach close by! It was so relaxing to be in a cottage, and forced us to slow down and relax. You can tell great thought has been given to making sure that the small space has the most amenities possible.

Pros: -Beautiful view of the water with nice porch-semiprivate beach just 3 minute walk away. -Host is friendly and responsive.Cons: --Bed situation is challenging -- very small kid-only bunkbeds, a very uncomfortable one-person folding couch in the living room, and a queen mattress (no bed) in a ladder-accessible loft with a 3 foot ceiling. --Bathroom is extremely small and has no indoor shower or bath; only shower option is outside.--While the listing is technically accurate, these details weren't fully clear to me until we arrived and I went back to double check the listing.--either a very large security deposit or a renters' insurance requirement -- both unusual for VRBO in my experience.

Beautiful views from small cottage

Stunning views, small house, basic equipment but enough. Cleanliness could have been better, as well as the quality of the available beds. However this didn't interfere with a sence of absolute pleasure that you get from the lovely small house and it's stunning surroundings. Beach very nearby, less than a minute walk. Contact with owner very pleasant, quick to respond and very forthcoming. We would definitely go again!

Great for a Weekend!

The waterfront view and peaceful front deck and yard was great! The early mornings and evenings on the Adirondack chairs were the highlights of the cottage - watching the water fowls and ospreys roaming the sky. Tucked away enough to not hear the road noise. The loft is for nimble folks, bunk beds are great for little kids but a bit small for teens. Grilling was easy with all the tools needed. The IKEA induction stove kept the cottage from heating up during meal times. Outdoor shower was nice. Wasn’t sure if there was access to water from the cottage - it would have been nice to be able to jump in but didn’t seem like it was set up for swimming from the property (no dock). The walking beach access was through what looked like someone else’s property (no signs) but we figured it out. Kool Kone nearby was great. Bathroom was hard to use given the size but not a problem for a short weekend trip. Don’t forget your Thermacell - We forgot to bring ours for the bugs.

Nice weekend at (not!) The Cape

Beautifully preserved beach cottage, well appointed and a quiet, classic New England coastal view. No need to stress over the dreaded ‘Cape traffic’- a hidden gem!

Peaceful and cozy slice of heaven

What an amazing little place this was! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hidden gem. Right on the water, we enjoyed early morning coffee watching the fish jump and the birds float along the water. We slept up in the loft and the view out the window at sunrise was just breathtaking. We will definitely be booking here again! Thank you for sharing your little slice of heaven with us!

Beautiful place right on the river. Paradise!!!

Small but super comfortable. The back deck and back yard views are so relaxing. Spent every evening just sitting and watching the wildlife . We will definitely be back .

Perfect spot for a family of 5!

We took the kids down the cape to celebrate our oldest 9th birthday and this cottage was the perfect spot. The kids had a blast having their own space with bunk beds and the views were absolutely spectacular. We already can’t wait to come back! Highly recommended!

Be sure before booking

This is a well thought out description of the property, making it look so much better than it is. It's far from a cozy cottage, more like a tired boat shed. It doesn't have a bathroom, an inside dark cloakroom and outside shower the only way to wash. The true description should be a glamping hut, in fact it would be better to camp outside. The mattress on the floor in the eves is not suitable accomodation at this price, and the "bunk beds" are only suitable for small children. I complained to VRBO who refunded my fee, but the host was not helpful and refused any compensation.

Miss it already

We loved our stay in this cozy, rustic cottage. My husband enjoys fishing at the canal and my son and nephews enjoyed crabbing and playing on the private beach. The view from the sliding doors cannot be beat. It felt secluded, relaxing, and peaceful but everything you need is a short drive away. We wish we could have stayed longer, but back to reality for us. Showering outside was a little strange at first but added to the fun of the whole weekend. We hope to be back soon.

Wonderful stay at locely cottage
