"Room I booked had strong mildew smell. Owner solved problem by allowing us to move to upstairs unit. This was so much better. Appreciate the responsiveness. Hot tub is very old and beat up. Time for an upgrade. But sitting there at night with frogs and moonlight was awesome. Lava tube was closed. This was a bummer as it’s why we picked this place. Very close to park entrance. Short drive."

"Absolutely lovely property at the very top of a hill overlooking Hilo waterfront. The owners are very friendly and helpful if you need them. Otherwise, you never know they’re there. Perfect get away. Close to everything."

"We enjoyed our stay at the Beach Road Hale while visiting family outside. The unit was very clean and felt very safe. Jordan was very communicative. Even though the unit is on the back of their main residence, it felt very private and we never saw or heard anyone. We've stayed in other rental units in the area and this was our best experience. The A/C units worked great and were an upgrade over several of the other units in the area! We would definitely stay here again!"

"We unfortunately were not able to stay at this property due to the lack of air conditioning. We reasonably expected some form of A/C given the warm and humid climate, but this was not mentioned in the listing.Because of medical conditions, air conditioning is a requirement for us, not just a preference.
