We found the connecting door let through a LOT of sound from the next room, and the seal around our main entry door let in a lot of light at night - equivalent to having a nightlight on. The resort is beautiful and well-appointed, very close for our planned activities. Next time I have those activities on Denerau I would stay here again!"

Regarding the room, it clearly needs an urgent renovation. Old bed, old bedding, old tv. 3 star hotel standard. I can't understand how this hotel has the Shangri-la flag. As for the staff, very kind."

"The balcony had a beautiful view over the gardens to the sea. The breakfasts were delicious and plentiful with many many choices. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. There were many activities available if you chose like weaving, tie dying… and during the evening most evenings a show, like island dancing, fire dancing, island singing… and… I really liked it was quiet by 10pm. "
