We needed a little home away from home where we could bring our pets while we visited family for Christmas, and Jeremiah and Victoria’s place was utterly perfect. Quiet, peaceful, and lovely. And set up perfectly for our three dogs, which gave us peace of mind. The bed was so comfortable, and there was great water pressure for showers. We just wish we had more time to spend at the adorable gazebo and fire pit. We did get to feed the hens, aka the Golden Girls! Thank for hosting us!

This location I would absolutely frequent again!!! The host was beyond accommodating, had everything I needed, easy to work with and it was exactly what I saw, including the yard. While my trip was not for a great escape, I definitely would come back for that great escape!

We enjoyed our stay! I booked less than 24hrs from arrival and Jeremiah was super responsive. We decided to take a quick weekend trip and the Seaboard was the perfect option for a few nights. We needed a clean quiet place to sleep while we spent most of the weekend at a nearby friends' house and it was perfect.

Jeremy was a wonderful host and the home was perfect for our needs! We are a small family and were very comfortable there for a week. The bed was extra soft and comfy, plus all of the extra amenities provided in the garage were a big help. The property is lovely and great for littles to run around. Highly recommend!

Relaxing getaway

They had everything we needed for our stay and were the most hospitable hosts! The property was beautifully landscaped and had a small chicken coop! We saw deer in the backyard a couple mornings. It’s in the country but very close to local amenities. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there!

Wonderful spot for a quiet stay!

While my stay took place in the midst of winter, this was still such a lovely property to enjoy and provided much solitude. My guest and I loved the fire pit and just walking outdoors with my two dogs. The beds were probably the comfiest that I’ve ever slept in! Jeremiah and Victoria were fantastic communicators as well. I did a good bit of work from home here and the Internet connection was rapid speed.

A little slice of heaven

Jeremiah and Victoria’s property was tranquil and peaceful which was very needed. My daughter adores chickens and loved being able to see the Golden Hokies every day. We’ve been vacationing in VA Beach for 8 years and I believe this is by far our favorite stay. The hosts were very communicative and I couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you very much for a lovely vacation!

Our family had a very nice time staying at your place. The place was very quiet and relaxing. It was very clean and had everything you needed at the place. I like seeing the golden girls (the chickens) during the day. Getting around was good. Thank you for a lovely stay.

A paradise away from paradise

This place was a hidden gem. The host, Jeremiah was extremely responsive, kind, and overall amazing! The golden Hokies (chickens) were adorable and the property was quaint and had everything we needed - from beach chairs, to coolers, to bug spray. Which was a plus! The farm fresh eggs and wine were an amazing touch. We absolutely loved our short stay and recommended this spot for a getaway. :)

The Perfect Getaway

My family and I had a great time staying at the SeaBoard. Hosts Jeremiah and Victoria were very welcoming, on top of every need and provided some wonderful welcoming touches upon our arrival. The seaboard is a super comfortable stay (we were there an entire week) and close to the beaches and endless dining and entertainment options. My family and I frequent the Sandbridge area whenever we have the chance and would certainly love to stay at the seaboard again in the near future. :)

Great Accommodations in a Heavenly Hideaway

Jeremiah and Victoria are wonderful hosts, generously sharing their little slice of Heaven amid the hustle and bustle of the busy metropolitan area. The location is central to everything, an easy drive to the oceanfront, yet tucked into a sweet little pocket adjoining a nature preserve. With 2 acres of well-kept, open yet private land, a gazebo, a fire pit, and ample outdoor seating... it's the perfect place to relax and enjoy some down time. They have also generously provided beach equipment and games for guests to use. Accessibility is a major factor for us. This property has a flat entry and no stairs to navigate, with a wide, open great room. Even though it is a walkout terrace-level apartment in the hosts' home, it felt very private. Jeremiah was very open and engaging, very welcoming and available when needed, yet not intrusive at all. We felt very comfortable in this setting. We loved having the chickens close by, and we loved the half dozen eggs the hosts left on the table for us on arrival. We are from the Tidewater/Hampton Roads area originally and travel there to visit family/friends fairly often. We would definitely stay again, whenever we are not in our RV. We would highly recommend this property and appreciate the great stay!

Peaceful and relaxing

We rented to be close to our son and his family while visiting. We chose Seaboard because of its location, it was close to Sandbridge beach also. We loved how peaceful and quiet it was in the country. The fresh chicken eggs were a nice surprise and very appreciated. If we need someplace to stay again we would definitely rent from Shefields again.

Peaceful getaway

It is a special place away from the busyness of virginia beach boardwalk, yet less than 20 minutes from tourist attractions. The owner takes excellent care of the property inside and out. If you are a bird watcher, this is your place. The owner is friendly, supportive, and thoughtful.
