"The hotel is very well located in Downtown Norfolk, making it convenient for restaurants, attractions, and exploring the area. The property could benefit from some renovations and updates. The customer service staff were friendly and courteous; however, they were unable to resolve an issue involving a supposed double check-in that appeared in their system when there was actually only one stay. Overall, it was a good experience, and I would consider staying here again for a couple of nights...

"This is a beautiful location with charming traditional rooms. The staff is very friendly and helpful and all the food dishes we tried, which was many in our 3 week stay, were delicious. I would highly recommend this hotel which has the feel of an inn or B&B."

"Upon arriving , we had a late check in! When arrived the room smelled bad! Like sweat or mildew. Further inspection - One of the beds had a blood stain ( period blood) on it. So it looks like the duvet cover wasn’t washed because it was fresh. Like someone was in that room. We were able to get fresh sheets. I would say they need to update their furniture. The toilet paper handle was broken, water pressure in the sink is horrible , the tub needs to be redone with the chalk. Toilet moved a lot...

"Bed linens & pillows were terrible! Towels great! We had very late room service on Friday…. Left no coffee, fresh cups, glasses, etc. No room service at all on Sat. Had to call desk for towels, coffee Outdoor area could be improved….. many chairs had no cushions Location is so nice but for $529 a night, we expect more!! Staff was very nice."

"Very poor customer service. I made my reservation two weeks in advance and expected the hotel to honor my booking. On the day of check-in, my flight was delayed, so I called the hotel and spoke with the manager. I explained that I would be arriving late, and she assured me that it would not be a problem. When I finally arrived, the receptionist informed me that the hotel was sold out and that my room had been given away. I was told they had tried to contact me but could not find my phone...

"Toilet wasn't clogged but wouldn't flush right our main door had a half inch gap in the corner of it had to put a towel in front of it to keep the bugs out air conditioner worked but looked like it was falling out of the wall . Called and asked staff for wash cloths said they were being washed went to the front desk later in the day lady wrote down the room number said they would take some up later never seen them . View of the bay was great pool was nice."

"I enjoyed our stay very much. All The room face a quiet little courtyard with plenty of seating. The room was clean; the beds were comfortable; the air conditioning worked without issues. The room has a small coffee maker and coffee, and a hair dryer. The hotel is within walking distance to the beach, a Dairy Queen and Overview Diner. (I highly recommend breakfast at Overview Diner!). The staff/owners are available 24/7 and helpful."
