We’ve stayed in many rentals on Martha’s Vineyard, but this was by far the most disappointing given the premium price charged. While the management team was polite, the issues we raised were simply brushed aside as “known to the owner” with no plan to address them.The property itself is in serious need of investment: the downstairs TV doesn’t work due to a faulty WiFi unit, the coffee maker turns on but doesn’t brew, nearly every curtain rail is falling out of the wall, the air conditioning filter is visibly clogged with dirt, the kitchen bin is broken, the BBQ doesn’t function, none of the outdoor lights work (even with new bulbs), and the front door has a fly net that requires being bashed open.For the rates being charged, you expect a home that is properly maintained and in working order. Instead, it feels neglected, with excuses instead of solutions. Until the owner commits to fixing these long-standing problems, this property simply cannot justify its premium price tag.
