We arrived at the hotel at about 2pm and, understandingly, weren’t able to go up to our room since checkin was at 4. We decided to go for a walk. The front desk gave us some tips on what we could see and asked if we wanted to leave our bags there. At 4, on the dot, we returned to the hotel, anxious to go up to our room (we had taken the ferry from Vancouver and left our house at 8 in the morning, so we were exhausted). When we got there we were told our room wasn’t ready and that we should wait. We waited. And waited. And waited. After nearly 2 hours we were given or keys and went up to our room. Needless to say, even after the lady at the front desk gave us a courtesy cheese platter as an apology, we were not thrilled. However, the cherry on top was when, after spending an entire day out, we come back to our room to leave our shopping bags before we head out again (at about 4:30pm) and see that the housekeeping ladies hadn’t been there yet. Once we leave the room again we see that they are working on our floor. One of them came up to us and asked if we would like their services in our room. My thoughts at the moment were “will a simple stare and eye roll make my point?”, but I just told her yes. 2 hours later we head back and... they were still there!! I don’t know if they were short staffed that weekend or just slow and lazy when we were there, but I definitely don’t recommend this hotel.
