Perfect spot for a family getaway
This is our second time booking this property. It’s the perfect accommodation for a getaway with our extended family — six adults and two kids — with lots of space and peace and quiet. The house is well equipped and the pool and hot tub are a nice bonus.

Perfect stay for ski holiday!
Beautiful spot to come back to after a day of skiing and snowsports! Comfortable, spacious, quiet, clean, warm, cozy, relaxing. Quick, easy drive to Silver Star and Sovereign Lakes x-country. Hot tub is wonderful. Lots of room for families.

Spartan House stay
Stay at Spartan House in Vernon was great. Minor issue during stay was addressed right away by owner. Needed to have contractor come in and worked with us regarding time so not to interfere with our schedule. Owner dropped in to make sure everything was good. Nice quiet place to stay. Would stay again if in the area.

Lots to Love about the Orchard Homes
We return to the Orchard homes for our annual Nordic ski vacation because: 1) Patrick, Sean and their kids are attentive, excellent hosts. 2) The beds are all comfortable. 3) The homes stay warm and are easily climate controlled. 4) The location is great; 20 min from skiing and close to Vernon for provisions 5) Close proximity to the hiking trail and very close to the outstanding Vernon dog park 6) Kitchens are stocked well enough for scratch cooking If you prefer a country setting and low-key post ski relaxing/gathering, the Orchard homes are highly recommended.

Farmhouse getaway
Wonderful house. Clean, well stocked with the basics (even provided olive oil and coffee beans!) PLENTY of room. Fireplace was so cozy. It was too cold for pool, but hot tub was amaze. We did picture that we would be in a secluded farmhouse, but it was on a bit of a busy culdesac with a pilates studio. Patrick was informative and friendly. Easy to communicate with.

Friends get away
My spouse and I booked this property for a friends get away , with 2 other couples Beds were comfortable, kitchen amenities were all you needed , close enough to shopping and stores . Great place for my dog as the yard was fenced and lots of area to walk him. The pool was wonderful even though it was late in the year we did use it a few times, the hot tub was the star at this time of year and it was used continuously. Owners were friendly and accommodating, supplied everything we needed in a timely fashion . We would definitely stay here again . Thank you Patrick and Sean for the wonderful vacation experience!! A perfect retreat
We had a fantastic time at the house. Quiet and private property, yet near enough to town to be able to easily run in for a coffee in the morning. the pool was very well used, as was the hot tub, and our dog loved having the large fenced front yard to be free to run in. Such a great option to be able to let her run and have fun, while the rest of the family is enjoying the amenities. The house is a very nice size, clean and comfortable, well suited for a family. Our hosts were excellent, there was a bit of a concern over being able to travel here due to the fires, yet we were past the cancellation period; they told us not to worry, see how it goes, they would honour the cancellation if we couldn't make it.....Ive heard issues with other renters who didn't have such understanding hosts, it gives me so much more confidence in the integrity of Patrick and Sean. Highly recommend staying here, you won't be disappointed.

Wonderful nostalgic stay!
I stayed here with my siblings and it was a wonderful time! Twas a super fun family reunion. We grew up in the BX 1 km away from this house so it was wonderfully nostalgic! Big space to accommodate a big group and the pool was a super awesome add on! We also took advantage of the walking trails nearby to bx creek. The hosts were very responsive and friendly. Would definitely stay again, thanks!

We love Spartan House
We have been going to Spartan House for a few years and our grandchildren love the pool. They look forward to seeing the sheep travel by and are always on the lookout for deer. Great hub to visit the attractions in Vernon and Lake Country. Patrick is always ready to assist.

Fabulous stay!
This is our fourth time staying at the property and once again it was a fabulous stay. We are always sad to say goodbye to the tranquil surroundings, the hiking, and of course the pool!

Perfect for our group!
We had a fabulous time at Curlew Orchards! We rented both homes plus the cabin to accommodate a family reunion at the end of June. The setting is lovely with view of the orchard and nearby mountains. The home worked well for our group and we found what we needed in the kitchen. The washer and dryer (including detergent) were appreciated. The pool and hot tub were a huge hit with the kids!!

60th Anniversary
Place was awesome. Patrick is great at communicating back in an extremely fast timeline. Couple of things to think about...a few extra garbage bags, a couple of cookie type sheets, a couple of mixing/big salad type bowls, pepper shaker.....minor things NOT to complain about just to make this place even better than it already is. Would highly recommend this vrbo place

Relaxing Time!
My husband and I stayed here, along with our parents and dogs (2). We were looking for time off of our daily routine and to relax, not with a lot of activities outside the property as our parents cannot walk a lot, so we were looking for a property with alternatives to do within it. I love that the property has a pool and the weather was very good during our stay. We did a lot of pool, and board games. Patrick and Sean were very responsive when we needed something. And our dogs also enjoyed the outdoors!

Nice place to relax
This home is on its own in an orchard but these is still more people around than we thought there would be. There is a pilates studio next door and also a small cabin that gets rented out and they all use the same driveway for access. The home is spacious and the yard is a decent size, hot tub is a bonus as the pool would be in season. The kitchen has dishes and cook ware but no cookie sheets. There are no supplies for cooking like foil, parchment paper, suran wrap, paper towel or napkins (we requested these supplies and were brought them by the owners) There are also no condiments supplied other than S&P, small amount of oil, sugar and coffee. Every other rental property we have stayed at supplied these things so I thought it was important to mention. Had we know we would have brought our own for cooking our meals. Over all great place to stay and would definitely return.

It would have been really helpful to hear from you ahead of your stay Carolyn. There was no advance communication and an early arrival. We'd be happy to hear from you ahead of your arrival to be able to respond to questions about what is provided to help with your plans. Also our listing indicates items that we do provide, explains the cabin and the small pilates studio for upto 4 people. It was great to hear that your group would have liked to attend a pilates class when I told them about the studio, but there were no group classes during your stay.

Beautiful with the farms all around! Quiet, relaxing, and so comfy and cozy in the winter with the fireplace and hot tub! Perfect downhill ski/snowboard and x-country ski vacation <3 We even saw northern lights while soaking in the hot tub! And pet-friendly!

This place is conveniently located to the ski hill. The house itself is clean, spacious, and beautifully located. There are plenty of kitchen supplies. The hosts are friendly and very open to any help. A place we would like to return!

Patrick is a fantastic host. Our stay was beyond our expectations.
The property was as presented in n the add. We were looking for a quiet kid friendly location to meet up with our adult children and our grandchildren to enjoy thanksgiving weekend. This property ticked all the boxes and more. Quiet, out of the way yet only minutes from groceries and any other shopping that may be required. We would definitely stay here again.

The Spartan house
The owners were nice, the pool and hot tub were good. House wasn’t the cleanest and a few bugs in the house. The road leading to the house was atrocious full of big pot holes. To much traffic coming and going to the property.

Hi John, it was a pleasure to meet you and your family. I had the impression when we spoke that everything was going well with your stay, so I am sorry to hear you were not pleased. We shoot to have a very clean house and I will definitely check to see what may have been missed for your stay. At this time of year, bugs do have a burst on the farm, that is hard to avoid however this year we will be replacing some window screens. The road was clearly not positive for you, our intention is simply for guests to drive slow on the gravel drive. It concerns us how fast people will drive when the lane is smooth.

Fabulous retreat!
Spartan House has been the highlight of our Summer (if not year) since we first stayed three years ago. The pool, hot tub, and surrounding setting invite peace and relaxation. Property owners are quick to respond with any queries or concerns. We cannot wait for our next stay.

Beautiful Getaway!
I am so glad I found this home! It is exactly as described, and everything that the previous guests have said. The house is a cozy farm house, surrounded by orchards and farmland. Complete with sheep that visit in the morning ! The selling points for us were the private pool and hot tub. I wanted a relaxing vacation away from crowds. This was perfect. The pool on the hot days, and the hot tub at night to star gaze before sleep. The front yard being fenced was perfect for pets. Marley found her happy place watching the dogs across the way. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, thank you Patrick & Sean for sharing your amazing property. We would love to book again! Cheers, Diane & Jeff

Serene!
Rented this property with our 3 grandchildren and pets, had everything we needed and more. The pool and hot tub were great even though the weather didn't cooperate. Dogs had own area to do their business and run around. Thank you Sean and Patrick for the lovely rental :-)
