"A few family members and I stayed for our annual girls weekend trip. The host was great with communication and we felt very welcomed at this secluded house. With three bedrooms, we had plenty of space to relax and enjoy our time away from home. The surrounding woods gives a very private feel. The location was wonderful for our weekend winery trip. We didn't have time to explore the Natural Bridge or The Little Grand Canyon, but we were very close to the Shawnee National Forest."

"This property was so beautiful, inside and out! The house had plenty of bathrooms and areas to hang out. Lots of amenities and very clean. The property manager, Betsy, was so kind and very responsive! Would definitely come back!"

"Ashley was always quick to respond with questions that I had! We had everything we needed and the house was ready for us! The kitchen was an open concept with the living room, which was very nice! The house situated on a dead end and it was very quiet and peaceful! Nice to set on the front porch where you could see the lake and watch the deer! Would definitely recommend this nice home!"

"We enjoyed our stay at the Owl's nest. Clean, comfortable three bedroom/one bath house with a fenced in yard for our dog. The house was very well stocked with everything you would need, and extras. Laura was very responsive to our emails and there wasn't a lot of noise with 4th of July fireworks. We went into Carbondale, Makanda and Ava, all within 30 minutes away, and found hikes only 5 minutes away. "

"Literally no complaints"

"We rented this property for the 2024 Eclipse viewing. That in itself was amazing but the property was the highlight for our whole family. It’s a beautiful setting, the home was upscale and fabulous, and, the stocked pond did not disappoint. The amenities provided were the best with beautifully equipped kitchen, big screen TV’s in every room and beautiful deck overlooking the pond. There is so much added activities for kids with pool table, ping pong, air hockey, foos ball etc.. Owner Patrick and...

"We so enjoyed this home for our family reunion!! Family from Georgia, California, Ohio and Oregon stayed in the home. We had our reunion at the home on Saturday. Other family from near hear in Illinois gathered from around. We had almost 50 family from 2-year-olds through 88-year-olds! Got to celebrate my only living uncle's birthday!
