Welcome to The Banaras Staedit: Ghar
A peaceful corner in the heart of Varanasi
Step into a space that feels less like a rental and more like a home you quietly return to.
The Banaras Staedit: Ghar is a cozy 1RK studio apartment designed for travelers who want to experience Varanasi gently — whether you’re a couple, a small family, or friends exploring the city’s timeless spiritual rhythm.
Tucked away on the second floor of a traditional Banarasi building in the soulful lanes of Bengali Tola, Ghar offers a simple, warm atmosphere — the kind that invites you to slow down after long walks by the ghats and narrow alleyways.
Light a diya by the window, make yourself a cup of chai, and let the distant sound of temple bells drift through the air.
This is what home feels like in Banaras.

Arranging totos (e-rickshaws), boat rides, or local guides
You’ll have complete privacy throughout your stay.
But if you’re curious about where to eat, what to explore, or how to experience Banaras like a local — I’m more than happy to share personal tips and stories.
Think of me as your quiet local friend — present when needed, invisible when not.
The Neighborhood – Bengali Tola
Bengali Tola is one of the oldest and most soulful neighborhoods in Varanasi. Its charm lies in its:
Narrow, winding lanes
Temple bells and morning chants
Friendly locals and timeless energy
Please note:
The lanes are narrow, so large cars cannot reach the doorstep
(totos and two-wheelers can)
The apartment is on the 2nd floor, accessible by stairs only
You may hear temple bells, chants, or morning sounds — these are part of the city’s living rhythm
We recommend comfortable footwear, light luggage, and an open mind — because Banaras is best experienced slowly, one lane at a time.
Getting Around
Totos (e-rickshaws) are the easiest way to move around the old city
Cabs can be booked up to the main road; from there, the lane to Bengali Tola is a short walk or toto ride
The Ganges ghats are best explored on foot — early mornings and evenings are especially magical
Local Breakfast Experience (Optional)
To make your stay even more special, we offer a local Banarasi breakfast experience on one day of your stay.
Wake up to the authentic flavors of Banaras:
Hot kachoris with sabzi
Fresh jalebi or poha
Served warm and brought right to your room
It’s a simple, home-style meal that gives you a true taste of Banarasi mornings.
If you’d like to include this experience, just let us know one day in advance, and we’ll happily arrange it.
A Banarasi morning isn’t complete without chai and kachori — and we’d love to share that joy with you.
Things to Keep in Mind
This is a heritage neighborhood, not a commercial area
Expect authenticity, not luxury hotel polish
Sounds of daily life, temples, and people are part of the experience
Best suited for travelers who enjoy culture, slowness, and soulful stays
Whether you’re here to explore the ghats, attend the morning aarti, wander aimlessly through lanes, or simply sit quietly with a cup of chai — The Banaras Staedit: Ghar welcomes you with warmth.
Come stay not just in Banaras, but with it.
