Absolutely amazing. Dead-center of everything you'll want to see and do in Valparaiso. If you can, get a room with the terrace view, which provides direct access to the stairs to the roof and its stunning 360 degree views. The couple that runs this place are just lovely and very knowledgeable of the surrounding area. Our only complaint was the lack of a mini-fridge in the room. A lot of the restaurants in the area served huge portions, and we had nowhere to put the leftovers.

This is one of the best hotels I have stayed at and I have travelled much of the world. Really beautiful building, lovely rooms, the owners are a delight and the breakfast was superb. Best coffee I had in Chile. You really MUST stay here if you are travelling to Valparaiso.

Quaint boutique hotel in a great location. The host was extremely helpful too. The top floor rooms have easy access to rooftop terraces, which were great to use. The only downside was noise until quite late on the weekend nights from the adjacent lane.

Great position for exploring Valparaiso. Unfortunately our room had a very poor bathroom. Shower didn’t hook up on the wall, nowhere to put anything and towels were really old.

Fabulous old style Hotel with great views
Lovely old style hotel located in a fabulous position on top of a hill looking over Valparaíso. Easy walking distance to restaurants, and the funicular is close by if required. We had a lovely room on the second floor overlooking the harbour with a small balcony. There is no lift but the family who run the hotel insisted they carried our luggage up and down and we had quite a bit and it was heavy. The manager/owner was very hospitable and informative. I would recommend staying here but it is a old style hotel, the position is fabulous and away from the noisey night life of Valparaíso.

Claudio was amazing with everything, super helpful and a joy to stay in his hotel. The views from the terrace were perfect, I’d recommend this hotel to everyone.

Loved our stay there! Lovely charming place, gorgeous views from rooftop. Can't beat the location, so easy to get around and tons of great food, drink, shopping easily accessible. Claudio was so friendly and helpful, went out of his way to help us set up with a driver for the afternoon to take us wine tasting in Casablanca valley en route to the airport for a late flight. Highly recommend staying here, you won't regret it!

Boutique hotel in central position
Lovely welcoming boutique hotel in a high, central position in the old and colourful part of Valparaíso. Quiet, clean, great views, helpful friendly staff, delicious freshly prepared breakfast and value for money.

Fantastic welcome from Claudio the owner. Super friendly and helpful. They hotel is very pretty and the rooms are comfortable. Well located with lovely views over Valparaiso. Roof deck and several balconies with fantastic viewx. Great breakfast.

Magnificent views from a quirky hotel
The Hotel Manor Atkinson is a quirky establishment with a very friendly owner. It's an historic building in a highly elevated position that affords wonderful views of the surrounding areas of hilly Valparaiso and harbour. Being an historic building it's quirkiness adds to the atmosphere, particularly the creaky stairs that could be an issue for older, less mobile patrons. Access from downtown Valparaiso is by a steep path that could be off putting to visitors; it's dirty (filthy) and wreaks of stale faeces and urine. Obviously it's used as a public toilet! A better although slightly longer access is probably via the Reina Victoria "ascensor" and a pleasant walk through local streets. The surrounding area has many restaurants and cafes. The wifi was excellent both in strength and speed.

Charming old house converted into a boutique hotel. Owners work front desk and prepare breakfast. Super friendly and excellent food. We'll definitely stay again.

Well located traditional small hotel
We were immediately made to feel very welome to this small, very traditional hotel by the owner Claudio. He gave us excellent advice on how to get the best out of our short visit. The hotel has a small rooftop terrace, and there are excellent bars and restaurants nearby. We had a comfortable and quiet room, well appointed. In the morning we had a charming breakfast of homemade crepes, jams and lovely fresh bread with ham and cheese, together with excellent coffee. All in all this was a great experience.

In the heart of Valparaiso
Claudio and Lorena go out of their way to accommodate. A quaint 100+ year old building in the center of Concepcion district. Stairs could be an issue for some. Many good restaurants and points of interest. View is fantastic. Surrounding hills are incredibly step but such is the nature and charm of Valparaiso.

Great staff and panoramic views
I had a great time staying at this hotel. It was interesting from the moment I stepped into the sun-filled lobby to check-in and learn about the surrounding area and things to do. Wonderful staff that offered great advice and tips. Breakfast was also very generous. The terrace is worth the stay alone - visitors are given a 360 degree view of the city and ocean.

Gorgeous city views
This hotel was right in the middle of our favorite neighborhood in Valparaiso with amazing views all around. The room was comfortable and the breakfasts were great as well. The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful.

Wow what a view!
This hotel is in a great location closer to shops and restaurants. The owner Claudio was fantastic and helpful. The room was clean and nicely decorated. The breakfast was great.

Very friendly and helpful manager/owner and charming hotel with wonderful views from the roof top. The breakfast was homemade and very good. The floors and bed were squeaky and our room was small. Valparaiso is very vibrant and music is been played all night and the surrounding mountains amplify the noise.

We had 3 days here and we're treated very well. Lovely hotel in all respects. The owner is both knowledge and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and would def go back.

A wonderful small hotel. A little pricey, but in a great location. Price included a nice breakfast. Owner very helpful; many good nearby restaurants. Be sure to go on the free walking tour -- it starts just down the hill from the hotel.

NOISY
The staff could not have been nicer. However, the room was so noisy it was impossible to sleep. The beds creaked every time you moved, the walls were paper that n so you could clearly hear neighbors conversations, the steps n the hotel creaked, the room was directly above the breakfast area so you could clearly hear all conversations and once the hotel quieted at approximately 3AM, the dogs on the he street started barking.

Nice Small Hotel Nicely Located
The owners were very helpful and we really enjoyed our stay. The continental breakfast was very good. Claudio went out of his way to accommodate us relative to directions, recommendations for restaurants, etc., etc. The building is old and bathrooms small but that is offset by the unique location. We would definetly return if we came back to to Valparaiso

NIce place on Cerro Concepción. It's an old manor, so don't expect an international hotel, but nicely furnished rooms with bathrooms. The greatest thing is the roof terrace with a spectacular view on the Pacific and the hills of Valpo.

Gammel pragtvilla der nu er ombygget til hotel. Meget hyggeligt, og flotte gamle værelser der emmer af historie. Tagterrasse med udsigt over havet og hele byen. Meget flink og hjælpsom vært.... fantastisk sted!!! Lige uden for hotellet ligger der en udsigtpromenade, og hyggelig bar med fantastisk udsigt. Masser af cafeer og restauranter i nærheden. Morgenmaden var lidt kedelig, men alt andet var super. Taxa fra busstationen koster ca50 kr.

Nice hotel perfectly located in cerro Concepcion. Very kind and helpfull staff. Delicious breakfest. Beautiful views from the shared terrace on top of the building. We recommend the suite on the top Floor with te private terrace with a great sea and harbour view. Several nice restaurants in this neigbourhood e.g. Vinilo and Pintor.

If you're OK staying in an old house (very charming) then this place is magic. You'll be greeted by Claudio and his wife - probably the friendliest people I've encountered in Chile. The location couldn't be better, central to the nicest restaurants and cafes in Valparaiso.

Welcoming place with great views
The hotel is lovely, the owner was extremely welcoming and helpful. Location is perfect, close to everything. We had one of the rooms with direct access to the terrace with an amazing view of Valparaiso and the bay. The only problem is that if you drive, you have to find parking in the street which, depending on the time of day, can be quite a challenge. But again, the owner was very helpful.

Vieillot mais beaucoup de cachet. Terrasse de la chambre très appréciable et celle du toit accessible à tous,magnifique vue à 360°. Petit déjeuner délicieux. Claudio est une perle de l'accueil!!
