"Only spent one night here, very comfortable room and friendly helpful staff. Shopping mall opposite and places to eat nearby, breakfast was also good "
"Close to motorway but tucked away from any noise. Large car park, large pub and lots of amenities on your doorstep.
Limited Internet was my only problem but it may have been due to the storm."

Only grumble was that we left windows open and there was a lot of traffic noise in the morning - should have used the fan (provided) instead, so our mistake. Plus, some of the UHT milks and decaf coffee sachets provided were out of date. Overall however, would definitely stay there again"
"This hotel is in a good location with shops, cafes and restaurants nearby. It is a great value for money. The rooms are spacious and it was great to have iron, fan and hairdryer in the room. If there was aircon I would give it 5 stars in all areas. However it won't refrain me from returning. I will come back again. "

"We rarely get a break from our business so we are always so happy to find little gems like the Brocket. We loved the relaxed charm of the whole place. The roads accessing it may be a little windy & tight but Ayot is such a beautiful area it is worth the trip. We parked outside the pub & were greeted by the friendly team who showed us the room which had water left out & tea/coffee making facilities. It's everything you would expect from a 14th century inn. "This is a lovely historic hotel and we enjoyed our stay apart from one thing (but this was promptly rectified) : initially we had a front bedroom facing the road which was busy and noisy all through the night. Fortunately we were able to upgrade to a rear bedroom which was wonderfully spacious and with much better facilities. The staff were very pleasant, polite and efficient, the hotel was fascinating and well-kept, and we would certainly stay there again."

"This was my first stay. Friendly and helpful reception experience. Lovely spacious room with all facilities needed including ample wardrobe space with hangers and iron/ironing board. Good views from top floor and fantastic aircon which was very much needed as it was a London heatwave. All employees were exceptional. Breakfast was plentiful and good. Very friendly welcome from employees and locals in the bar during the evenings. Would highly recommend."
