We stayed for three weeks in this house in February. It was very clean when we arrived, nicely decorated and with a sufficiently well-stocked kitchen, to make our extended stay comfortable. The layout of the house was very liveable with three baths, a washer and dryer and good TV options (better than home). The owner was very helpful and responsive to our questions.
The house is in a gated community at the base of Dove Mountain Road. It is easy to get onto I-10 to drive to the center of Tucson, and the Oro Valley is readily accessible. Groceries, shopping, golf courses and restaurants are nearby. The fenced backyard is private with a gas grill, covered patio and lovely plantings including cacti and a lemon tree with fresh lemons. The community is dense with houses all of which are very well kept with nice desert gardens along the street. We were particularly impressed by how immaculately this community is maintained. There are a number of community paths through the desert allowing you to choose to walk on the sidewalk or on trails linking the roads. Within a couple of miles there are extensive mountain trails as another walking option. The house was a very comfortable base for our stay whether we were indoors for the day or out in the car for an adventure.
