"Booked an executive double room which was very spacious and had a large bath too. A bit dated overall but clean and we had a lovely overnight stay. Dinner and breakfast were both good quality with gluten free options. I enjoyed using the pool and sauna (pre book) however disappointed the hot tub snd steam room were not in operation. Also, the spa was closed both Sunday and Monday. Hotel is set in extensive grounds and is a 15 minute walk into Aberfoyle. Plenty EV charging points at the hotel....

"What a wonderful hotel. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The staff couldn't do enough for you. The bar downstairs was perfect to sit and relax after a day of sightseeing. Our evening meal in the restaurant was delicious. Will definitely be back. 10/10"

"We were there 6 nights & it is by far the BEST guest house we’ve ever experienced. The house is the perfect mix of being historic but also updated, so it feels fresh. Loved the high pressure insta hot water & super comfy bed. Great location for walking to dinner each night. And it was the perfect home base for day trips to Dunnottar Castle, Balmoral, Blair Castle & Glamis Castle for the Highland Games. The gardens and view from the house are gorgeous. "Our room was exceptionally clean and attractive. The modern bathroom had both a bath and walk in shower. The dinners were excellent and used local produce. Breakfast was delicious and cooked to order. Staff were friendly and very attentive."

"Pine Trees was up on a hill in a lovely location not too far a walk into the main town. The staff were welcoming upon arrival and our room was comfortable and clean. The hotel was beautiful and the breakfast was very good despite having to wait a bit due to how busy it was. It was a really nice spot I would recommend."

Our room was a ground floor, which was really close to the swimming pool, so great for going to pool in swimming costume and a towel without needing to change. "My wife and I loved this place. It was very charming and the staff were great. The food was excellent as we had dinner and breakfast. We had the small plates for dinner because the restaurant was booked full but our small plate dishes were excellent. Quite frankly I would have the small plates for dinner rather than a full dinner. I would definitely go back to this place and recommend to friends traveling to Scotland"
