The main house at Heathlands is a haven of rustic charm and modern comfort. With exposed timbers hand-cut in the 1800s and delightfully imperfect walls, the home exudes a timeless character. This spacious retreat boasts 3 large bedrooms, 2 cozy living rooms, 2 bathrooms, a large eat-in kitchen, and a separate dining room. Enjoy the outdoors on the expansive deck, surrounded by pristine bushland, perfect for birdwatching and social gatherings.
• Master Suite: Luxuriate in the master suite with its king bed (convertible to 2 king singles), ensuite, double shower, and double vanity.
• Additional Bedrooms: The second bedroom features a queen bed, and the third offers a double bed. These rooms share a main bathroom with a claw foot soaker bath, separate shower, toilet, and washing machine.
• Living Spaces: Relax in two separate living rooms connected by a dining room and a country kitchen with an open fireplace. The house is surrounded by a covered timber deck, complete with a BBQ and outdoor furniture for entertaining.
• Enjoy the warmth of 2 fireplaces, ducted heating and cooling in the main living areas, and reverse cycle heating and cooling in the upstairs master suite.
• For extra guests, a charming Art Studio converted to a rustic bedroom with a queen bed, drinks fridge, and tea/coffee facilities is available (note: no bathroom in the studio).
*** Please note there is no ability for more than 8 adults ( 4 bedrooms- including the studio). There is also a small single sofa bed suitable for a child.
The entire house and the detached studio is available for use. It is very private and detached from the other dwellings on this property.
There is also a Tiny House located in a separate paddock on the property available for Short-term rental. We request, to ensure our guests staying there receive their privacy, that you do not walk onto this paddock.
We live on the property in a separate house.
Contactless check in is available
The property is 16 acres and has an additional 7 acres of crown land license following the Yea River. About 11 acres is cleared land the rest is left to nature.
On occasion there will be a need access to farm equipment stored near the main house but we will only access this with prior warning to our guests.
Our property is a Blueberry Farm and is also Organic. We do not use any herbicides or pesticides so there may be a few bugs around so we have provided you with personal insect repellant.
You are welcome to walk over our private creek via the small bridge and explore the “island” surrounded by beautiful trees and natural bush - the Yea River runs behind the bush and is fast flowing for most of the year.
If you have motorbikes or a trailer that needs to be stored out of the weather, please let us know in advance and we can offer you one of the bays in our hay/ machinery shed.
We can also recommend a local private driver who can assist with transport locally should you wish to have a night out in one the many beautiful wineries in the area.
This is a working farm; the only animals are our dogs and there are our gorgeous hens that provide us with beautiful organic eggs. We grow vegetables and various fruits, and our primary production is from our blueberries, raspberries, and boysenberries in summer. We ask that you appreciate our property and its beautiful environment and never litter or take anything from our gardens or wood from the bush unless asking first. We will always happily share what we can.
This is a beautiful quiet area. We will provide you with plenty of wood for fires in winter an a great selection of games, techno services and a beautiful environment. We hope you have a lot of enjoyment in this space and that you are mindful of limiting noise after 10.30pm and before 8am.
This is a very quiet and peaceful bush/farm setting. It is not a Party House. The only guests that can come onto this property are those that are paying to stay the night. No Exceptions.
