"Breakwater is a great place to stay if you want a reasonably priced cottage near the beach in the Grayland - Westport area. The first cottage we stayed in was much too small but for the second night we were moved to an available larger one with a king bed. That was great. These are pretty basic units but the bed was comfortable and there is a decent kitchen. The beach is about 1/2 mile down a path or you can drive down the beach access road and go right onto the beach. If you are a clam digger...

"We had a wonderful time with friends. It was a short drive to every place we wanted to go. Jack's Mercantile was amazing and we enjoyed the Cranberry Museum. Being elderly, next time we'll get a two bathroom place. The door lock was a challenge at times. We were able to relax and I didn't do any yard work which needed attention."

"We had a great stay at the Happy as a clam cottages. The cottage was very nice and clean. Being able to eat a few meals in using the full kitchen, BBQ was a plus. The location was perfect for our interests (it is very close to 2 very fine oyster farms/restaurants, several state parks, and a short drive to both the bay and oceanside of the peninsula. We would highly recommend."

"My family and i really enjoyed our stay. Kitchen was well stocked. Beds were comfortable. The fully fenced yard was really nice since we bought our dogs. The view of the canal was so nice and peaceful sitting out on the deck. Lots of deer. Definitely a house we will try to go back to."

"We have a long weekend here and it was vey nice and perfect for the kids. It was walking distance to the beach and we went 5 times in 3 days. Beds were comfortable and there was a nice are where we could relax after the kids went to bed with out waking them."

"What a wonderful house! We were 6 adults and 3 grand kids and had plenty of room for all of us. This house is impeccably clean and well maintained, and very comfortable. The beach is a short 4 minute walk thru the grasses and the beach itself is fantastic! The host was terrific and made sure we were welcome and taken care of. It was a truly memorable time, with pelicans, eagles, and whales too!"

"I loved how my dogs could roam the yard due do it being fenced! It felt homey and comfortable. It had everything we needed and owner answered my questions very quickly. Only thing I wished for is a four person sized table and chairs so we could have had the room to play cards or board games, and a little more room to eat. We’ll bring our folding card table and chairs along next visit. We’ll be back for sure!"
