"This is a charming bed and breakfast. Anmenities are high end, so is the service. We stayed in a room circa 1752. The bedding however was more recent and very luxurious.
The grounds are impeccable, with flowers and trimmed hedges everywhere. There are fields and even a little nature trail in the woods on the property.
Its ideally located in Virginia wine country and in proximity to the homes of three past presidents, all of which you can visit.

"THIS is a guilty pleasure. Love the location and isolation of this property. They have a couple dining options and great room service.
Most importantly, they’re pet friendly and my “boys”, Louie and Logan are treated like rock stars.
Great walking grounds, and the rooms are fabulous where you just want to stay in and relax. "

"Hotel location at the crossroad of highly popular roads made it noisy all day and night. To avoid if you’re sensitive to traffic noise. The room was just below the roof AC machine controlling the corridors cooling. It turned on and off every hour making the most horrible sound and trembling of the room. The staff admitted it but couldn’t help it. The breakfast was super limited and the cherry on the top is that you eat on paper plates with plastic cutlery ☹️"
