Beautiful first and second floor apartment in historic Leiden

Beautiful apartment of two floors beautifully situated in the center of Leiden. 2 bedrooms, full kitchen and a large bathroom. Perfectly located in the heart of the city, at the end of the shopping street. All terraces, shops, restaurants and theaters are within walking distance. A dream apartment!
You enter on the ground floor. With the spiral staircase you go to the first floor, where the apartment is located. The house has a cozy living room with a beautiful wooden floor on the first floor. The open kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher and combi microwave. On this floor there is also a separate toilet and laundry room with washing machine and dryer.
On the second floor, which has just been fitted with completely new carpet, there are two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a comfortable box spring and an antique wardrobe. In the second bedroom there are two single beds. The bathroom has a shower and a wonderful bath to recover from a pleasant day in Leiden. This bathroom has no toilet. The location could not be better: in the middle of the old town, surrounded by dozens of restaurants, cafes and terraces. You do not need a taxi, because the entire center is within walking distance. Welcome to this top apartment in this beautiful city!


The entire apartment is at the guest's disposal.

In principle I am only there when checking in and when checking out. But if there is anything, I can always be reached!


Transport options
At 50m. distance is the bus stop. The Central station is a 10-minute walk (through the shopping street).

There are parking spaces behind the apartment. These are paid parking spaces from 9 am to 9 pm. 300 meters from the apartment is a parking garage. The car can be parked for free outside the center.

The accommodation is in a great location within the delightful town of Leiden with easy transport access to Amsterdam, Delft and Kerkenhof and beyond. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful and provided information as and when we needed it and respected our privacy. The apartment is well equipped, spacious, warm and comfortable.The two spiral staircases and toilet on the floor below the bedrooms was not ideal for us being older in our 70's and one with a dodgy knee but we managed. The accommodation description had been very clear about this and so it had been our choice.I did send a message via vrbo to the hosts to suggest bed heads for the single bedded room as the top of the beds do not butt up against a wall and my pillow kept falling off but I'm not sure if they received it.Altogether a very enjoyable stay of six nights.

A comfortable, clean and well stocked apartment in a fantastic location. It easily accommodated our family of 5 and we loved the convenience of being right on the centre. The owners were really helpful and easy to deal with. Would definately stay there again.

Location and overall set up was fantastic. We were able to walk most everywhere we wanted to go in Leiden.The suite could use some extra blankets, face cloths, and information about the neighbourhood and Leiden (map, interact locations, bike rentals, how to use the TV). The spiral stairs leading to the second floor are in need of repair or replacement as the handrail is so close to the wall that it's unusable. Overall, we loved our stay.

We loved the location! The property owners, Sabine & Martin communicated well and were very friendly. The apartment itself was modern but allowed the history to shine through. It was clean, bright and spacious. Very comfortable beds that made for a great night sleep each evening. All the amenities provided made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Would definitely stay again. Didnā€™t want to leave.

The apartment was exactly as described. The rooms were very large and the beds were comfortable. The laundry was a perfect touch as we didn't have to pack too much. Sabine is very friendly and responds quickly. The large bathtub was fantastic to have after a long day exploring the town.

Sehr freundlicher Empfang von der Gastgeberin. Eine schƶne groƟe und sehr saubere Ferienwohnung mit allem, was man benƶtigt. Modern eingerichtet. Die Treppe zu den Schlafzimmern und dem Bad ( Dusche und Badewanne) konnten auch unsere Ƥlteren Leutchen gut meistern. Die Lage ist toll.Nicht weit zum Centrum. Kann alles erlaufen werden. Leiden ist ein schƶnes StƤdtchen. Kleine EinkaufsstraƟen, hĆ¼bsche nette GƤsschen. Zu FuƟ oder mit dem Fahrrad gut zu erkunden. Viele SehenswĆ¼rdigkeiten. Empfehlenswert ista uf alle FƤlle eine Bootsfahrt (Rembrandt) ParkplƤtze nicht so einfach und kostenpflichtig. Tageskarte 25 Euro. Durch einen Tipp haben wir dann auƟerhalb, ca 20 Minuten zu FuƟ auf dem RĆ¼ckweg kostenlos parken kƶnnen, was sich bei 3 Ɯbernachtungen gelohnt hat. Mit dem Bus kann man ganz bequem vom Hauptbahnhof in ca 15- 20 Minuten am Strand sein. Die Menschen hier sind alle sehr entspannt und freundlich. Lecker Essen gehen nicht unweit von der Unterkunft gut mƶglich. Sabine ist eine nette kommunikative Gastgeberin. Vielen Dank an Dich. Gerne werden wir deine Ferienwohnung wieder buchen und weiterempfehlen.

This place is a gem! Perfect location, 20 min walk to the Saturday Market in the heart of the centre. 5 min walk to a cheap parking garage (16 euro / 24 hours). The apt is in the first and second floor. Immaculate and it has all you need. Sabine was very punctual, welcoming and helpful. All in all myself and my friends had a good stay and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!

Die sehr zentral gelegene Wohnung der Familie van der Klugt ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt fĆ¼r zahlreiche StadtspaziergƤnge und Bummel durch die schƶnen GeschƤfte. Die Wohnung bietet allen Komfort, ist sehr sauber und mit bequemen Betten ausgestattet. Die Treppen sind eine kleine Herausforderung besonders fĆ¼r Ƥltere Besucher, aber zu meistern, wenn man sich darauf eingestellt hat. Sabine er sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und hat uns mit guten Tipps zum Parken und Einkaufen beraten.

Wir wurden durch den Vermieter persƶnlich empfangen und eingewiesen. Die Wohnung geht Ć¼ber eine sehr enge steile wendeltreppe nach oben ( mit baby muss man schon sehr aufpassen) man kann aber seine grĆ¶ĆŸeren sachen unten stehen lassen. Die Wohnung ist schƶn hell und sauber. Die Austattung der KĆ¼che , Wohnzimmer , Bad ist vollkommen ausreichend. Es gibt zwei Schlafzimmer, eines liegt direkt an der Strasse (es gibt zwar nicht viel verkehr aber abends und NACHTS laufen viele feiernde grƶllende leute rum und die Fenster sind nur einfach verglasst. ( das ist einer der wenigen minus punkte) Die fenster lassen sich von unten nach oben schieben (wer kinder hat sollte hier besonders aufpassen) ansonsten waren wir wirklich zufrieden und kƶnnen es fĆ¼r Freunde / Ehepartner ohne kinder empfehlen.

Wir haben ein langes Wochenende in der Wohnung verbracht. Von der Wohnung ist man in circa 30 Minuten in Den Haag oder am Strand in Katwijk. In Leiden gibt es aber auch einen schƶnen kleinen Park zum Entspannen und viele Restaurants. Die Vermieterin ist sehr freundlich und antwortet schnell.

Die Wohnung hat einen Wasserschaden und es riecht sehr stark. Die Bilder zeigen nicht genau, wie es wirklich aussieht. Guter Fotograf, der die Bilder gemacht hat. Durch die gute Lage, konnten wir es akzeptieren in der Wohnung zu bleiben. Jedoch bleibt ein starker Renovierungsbedarf. ( Die Vermieterin informierte nicht im Vorfeld, dass ein Wasserschaden in der Wohnung vorliegt)

Zeer nette woning / appartement waar alles aanwezig is wat je nodig hebt om met een gezin van 4 personen een weekend in Leiden te kunnen genieten. Ligging is in het centrum en perfect om alles te voet te gaan ondernemen. Zeker een aanrader.
