"The Barahi jungle Lodge is a beautiful place, I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a bit of luxury in Chitwan! A few highlights: -Their commitment to sustainability is exceptional. For example, most of the food is grown on site, and they've effectively done away with single use plastic - The service!! This is old school hospitality. Anything you need at all, someone is ready to help. They surprised us with a complimentary bush dinner one evening (such a cool experience, would recommend)...

"This is a top-notch property with great amenities and things to do. We had a wonderful village tour and two nature walks with Kamal Adhikari, the guide at the lodge. He is so knowledgeable and does an excellent job. We also went to the Locals Cultural dance which was very entertaining and so well performed. Mr. Adhikari participated in that as well. "The staff was lovely and helpful and when we asked what could be done as our bed was inclined and a terrible mattress in the noisy budget room, they upgraded us to the better room at no extra cost. This was also their worst room as we could barely walk around the bed and fit our luggage and they did show us a better budget room after our complaint. Unfortunately the restaurant was dirty and food of poor quality, although has a great location and view. There is definitely room for improvement."

"Overall property was pretty good with garden area and outside dining. Food was acceptable. Off the main road and so less dust and traffic noise. Fan and AC unit worked. Room not as clean as it should be. Main problem, they had screen doors on each room which made a loud banging noise every time they were closed. With about 20 rooms that can make for a lot of unpleasant noise especially at all hours of the night. Also lots of people were smoking in all of the nice outside areas, not in the rooms...

"Our Stay at the Jungle Sunset Camp was a real good surprise! The Hotel is on the river, very quiet, but still walking distance to the main street of Sauraha (not so big). "Good place to stay for your safari vacation - nice and quiet. The staff was overall friendly, but some off the staff were not so welcoming or good at giving information - maybe just shy. Like when we checked in, there was no "welcome" or small talk, and no info on breakfast time or that you had to leave your key to get the room cleaned. "Gefallen hat mir das riesige Zimmer und die großzügige Grünanlage. Nicht gefallen hat mir der Zustand der Zimmer/Möbel/Textilien, leider alles schon sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Personal war sehr unterschiedlich, teils sehr freundlich, teils seltsam und/oder wenig hilfsbereit. Eine flächendeckende Ausstattung mit (funktionsfähigen) Moskitonetzen wäre bei diesem starken Moskitovorkommen sehr wünschenswert!"
