Bungalow B was very nice, comfortable, clean, nicely decorated. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom spacious. Enjoyed sitting outside on the porch early morning and in the evenings. The wall around the porch provided sufficient privacy. The area surrounding the bungalow is not pretty but felt safe and surprisingly quiet. The air condition struggled to cool down room within 24 hours of arrival but after that very comfortable. The bungalow is closes to Lajitas so we started at this end and made our way across the park. The bungalow is conveniently located to Maverick Junction entrance of the park. Overall great stay, would stay here again.

Excellent stay - bring your own coffee!

The casita was wonderful for our family. The beds were comfortable and the kitchenette allowed us to eat some meals there. The only thing lacking was the coffee. The pictures show a Keurig coffee maker, so I came prepared with coffee pods, but there actually was not a Keurig. There was a small coffee maker, but there were no filters for it. I would've brought filters and coffee for it if I'd known. We were able to buy the tiny filters that fit it and some ground coffee at the grocery store. We left those filters for future tenants.

Had issues and no response for almost a day

When we first arrived the door was wide open. Not giving a great impression of security. Texas had just been hit with cold weather and the place was freezing!! Luckily there wasnā€™t anyone already in the place. Also, had issues getting the heat to work. After numerous YouTube videos we were able to get it to work. Not sure why it didnā€™t work when we just toggled to heat and bumped the temp up. I reached out to the host who didnā€™t respond that day. I reached out to VRBO who asked for a video showing it was blowing cold air. The door would shut if you slammed it shut. Because we didnā€™t get any answers in a timely matter we all packed our stuff anytime we had to leave. VRBO was a pain to deal with. Terrible customer service from them. If we had not had any issues with the first night, the place would have been perfect. Great location and just what we needed to visit Big Bend for a few days.

We loved our stay at casita b, it was actually bigger than I thought it would be. The location was absolutely perfect for daily visits to the national and state park and visiting the terlingua ghost town as well. Absolutely loved it, I would stay there again

Perfect for a short stay

My partner and I stayed for 4 nights and 3 days. Place was cozy, clean and more spacious than we thought it would be. Beds were comfy and the shower had good temperature and pressure. We were close to alot of spots like the gas station, and some eateries. At most, restaurants and the general store were about 10 minutes away. The road leads straight to big bend national park, about 30 minutes. The only downs were that some dishes weren't clean when we got there and we could never connect to the wifi (the owners never got back to us and I messaged them through the app the first night). Besides that though, we'd stay here again!

Very nice, but needs some electrical work.

We have stayed in the other Casita before, and this one is the same. It is as advertised. However, attention needs to be paid to a couple of electrical things that aren't to code. The light switch cover in the bath does not cover the box, and both the bath and the kitchen should be protected with GFCI outlets.

Perfect little stay!

We had a lovely stay in this little bungalow. It had everything you need for a visit. We visited both BBNP and the state park nearby (don't forget to visit that). A little coffee maker to brew some coffee was wonderful as an afternoon pick-me-up after a long morning of hiking, along with a mini-fridge to hold the basic necessities. It also had fully running water, with a full bathroom and drinkable water. Sometimes that can be hard to find around here! I will say there were flies, but it is the desert so what can ya' do. It's how it is! We just used the little fly swatter and killed them, but maybe some fly tape would be good in the corners of the building. Thank you so much for hosting us and we loved the visit! :)

Casita in Terlingua

Overall the location of this property was good. We were able to explore the National Park, State Park, Terlingua and Lajitas. The casita was fine for what little time we spent there, however the inside of the property was not clean and the host did not communicate promptly. It was cute but just missed the mark a bit. Recommendations- cleaning needs to be a priority, larger refrigerator since many will want to cook given the remoteness of the area, more communication from host.

Nice property, close to Big Bend NP and Terlingua sites. Clean, quiet and good A/C. Only downside was lack of communication from property manager. Sent two inquires and never heard back.

This was exactly as described. It was clean and about as close to Big Bend that you could get outside of the park. The heat/cooling worked great as well as the wifi. It is bigger than it looks from the outside. Would stay there again.

Big Bend vacation

Great location. Right on the highway. Very close to Big Bend! GPS was a little off for finding the place- but the host gave easy directions to find it. Other reviews commented on the loud road noises- but honestly we didnā€™t notice it a whole lot. Issues- No Wi-Fi during our stay. Due to location we did not have phone reception. We were able to use the gas stations guest Wi-Fi finally to contact the host. The response was they sent someone to look at it but it was never fixed during our stay. This was a huge inconvenience to us. We had no way of notifying our family we had made it safely. We have pets at home that we couldnā€™t check in on. Also- our son has food allergies that we would not have had any way of contacting emergency services if needed. We took that chance going into a remote area but it was advertised that there was Wi-Fi at this location. There was no broom! I felt awful leaving a dusty home from our adventures. Outdoor seating was nice for supper to watch sun set!

Convenient and easy

Great location for accessing the area. The fire pit and grill came in handy and made for some great nights. Beds were comfortable and house was clean and nice. Only complaint is that itā€™s right on SH-118; road noise isnā€™t an issue but the house is a car length and a half off the road.
