Private Cozy Home built in 1966 - with Fireplace & Butterfly Garden

Large home 2200 sqft with Beautiful Garden room with view to Butterfly Garden with raised potting table. This is a cozy home with 4 bed rooms and 2.5 baths with fireplace. Wheel chair accessible through each entrances, each rooms and bathrooms. Full size kitchen available with breakfast nook and full dining room area, a common living room with TV. All 4 rooms are setup with TV's (Netflix and Amazon), Free WIFI Access
Few miles from America's Best Beaches, Sunshine Skyway bridge, Little harbor resort (beautiful sunset point) and close to many restaurants

The cleanliness of the property left much to be desired. We sent photos to the property owner about the cleanliness with photos (including poop on the side of the toilet seat). We received an apology but no offer to clean or compensation. The sheets were stained and had hair in them so we had to wash them before we could sleep in them. The both trash cans were full with bags sitting beside them. If it was cleaner it would have been a great place to stay

If you’re looking for enough room for a group of people, this house was big enough. The screened in porch floor, chairs and table was not cleaned. Don’t worry we cleaned it. The top of the stove was a mess. Don’t worry we cleaned it. All of the sinks do not drain properly. The refrigerator kept freezing the coils, then the water would leak into the fridge. Don’t worry we cleaned it. The tree outside of the house makes a mess that gets dragged into the house. We swept the porch and drive way several times to limit the mess.The previous VRBO renters left a big trash bag of beer cans, big bag of trash, and recycling container was full of trash and not recycled material and did not get picked because it was too much for the trash cans and is still on the side of the house.The air worked great, lighting was hard to figure out, but all in all the cost was fine, since I was visiting with my family who live in Ruskin.

Air conditioner, refrigerator, and sweeper worked well. The two queen beds were adequate although there were no mattress pads on any beds. Just the thin sheet. We bought sheets to cover what was there. The kitchen cooking utensils and stove were baked on dirty. You could not plug the microwave and coffee maker in at the same time. The lights flickered constantly throughout. There is nothing pleasant to look at out any window. Staying two months was not tolerable. We left several days early. If all you need is a place to sleep it might work.

Nice and spacious, mostly clean. Definitely original 1960’s fixtures & furniture and also worn like they’ve been there since the 1960’s. A/C worked well, enjoyed the lanai, but backyard could use some attention. Appreciated the full kitchen & shampoo in the shower since I forgot mine.

Nasty/ do not ignore the bad reviews

This property has mixed reviews some they say it’s awesome some that’s bad! Don’t do what I did! Don’t ignore the bad reviews. This house is old and that’s not the issue. The issue is that it’s FILTHY! Old broke and stained towels. Pubic hair in the sower and the sink. The bed liners were dirty. One of the full beds was even more disgusting. It had a plastic bag under the sheets and a yellow sticky stain that it was huge and we couldn’t use that room. The other “big” bed had like grass or something like that but we had ended up using it because my husband had driven 8 hrs and he couldn’t sleep on the floor. It was a horrible experience we all were horrified. I usually don’t leave bad reviews but I don’t want anyone to be in my shoes. Better to sleep on your car. At a park or at the airport. This host really needs to clean that place.

La comunicación con el propietario fue muy buena, pero la casa está muy descuidada tiene todo muy viejo las sábanas rotas y las toallas todas viejas y sucias imposible de usar y deberían de invertir en nuevas cosas para que los huéspedes se sientan cómodos asta las camas estan muy viejas menos mal que voy preparada para cada viaje y llevo sábanas y cobijas Conmigo y decidimos quedarnos en el lugar xq solo fuimos q Tampa a conocer y solo ivamos a dormir pero la verdad deberían de comprar cosas nuevas todo está muy viejo y deteriorado la casa está antigua pero es bonita solo necesita un poco de arreglo y cosas nuevas . Gracias

Things are not always what they seem

The property is overly aged. The place smelled stale. Furnishings are old and aged. Decor is old and aged. Some Appliances did not work. Spring mattresses old and very uncomfortable. There was hair in the shower drain and water was slow to drain. Spiders in the bathroom and roaches in the kitchen. Bathroom towels and clothes were all stained. Bed sheets were thin and frayed. No cleaning fee should have been collected, as clearly it was not cleaned.

Friends get-a-way

It was wonderful having the space to spread out and have our own room; large gathering space in the living/dining room and the kitchen was functional. If your’re looking for a very modern contemporary place, this is NOT it. But if you are a group or family looking to spend time together, this may be perfect! It’s older and a bit worn but you don’t have to worry about every little move you make might cause damage. It’s pretty basic.

The stay was just enough for me and my group! The convenience of the location in a quiet setting made it even better. It wasn’t crowded with other homes in the area and gave us that country Carolina feeling.

This property needs some serious love. It is an odd shaped large house, with some issues. Their is a distinct smell of mold in the house. The light directly over one of the beds is filled with brown water. The back sliding door didn't close properly. The bed in the back room needs the frame fixed and the mattress thrown away. Each time my husband or I moved the whole frame made noise and felt very unstable. The mattress was so uncomfortable, I chose to sleep on the couch cushions on the floor the second night. We all felt the need to wear socks at all times because the floor felt "swiffer" clean...The ickyness of the house is particularly annoying because I was required to pay 125 in a cleaning fee. The good part of this rental was the price and the proximity to the highway. We only stayed for a quick weekend trip, and that was enough.

Can't get in property

Horrible experience. We arrived after a late flight and the door code would not open the lock. We tried to reach the owner but got sent to voice mail. Reached out to VRBO and they could not reach the owner either. Had to find alternate place to stay for the night. Finally heard from the owner and got a second code. Went to the property the next day and that code did not work either. Called the owner and got a 3rd "master" code. That did not work either. Told him that he needed to get to the property. Arrived and he could not open the door either. Had a fistful of keys and none of them worked either. He went to try the back door. We told him we were cancelling and wanted a refund. I have never had an occasion where the property owner did not reach out on the day of arrival to confirm that we got in and everything was satisfactory until this one. This was ridiculous. There was never an apology. Beware!

We looked at this property on VRBO and never even booked and they charged us over $600. We made the owner aware immediately before the stay was even supposed to start and they ignored all communication then stated we were beyond the point of cancelation. No refund even though we never booked the place. They even charged a cleaning fee for a booking that never happened. I would not have anything to do with this owner.
