"The Outpost Inn was such a wonderful stay in Highlands! Our room was darling, well appointed with a little sitting area, fireplace and record player including some throw back records that put us in the mood. Bed/bedding was great, good shower pressure and products. Each afternoon we would hang out in the common spaces and firepits and enjoy a glass of wine, 'smores and meeting other travelers. "This property was perfect for my husband and me. We also brought our small dog with us. The weather did not cooperate with us, but we took advantage of the large screened in porch and enjoyed breakfast and coffee in the mornings and cocktails in the late afternoon. The Highlands has wonderful restaurants, so make sure you visit them during your stay. Carole the host was wonderful and answered any questions we had. She made sure to inform us about the area and things to do. "

"The location is beautiful. The house was clean. kayaking and canoeing on the lake was amazing. Also rented a boat one morning to tour the tree beautiful waterfalls on the lake. The only issue would have been parking, however the owner was very accommodating. It's best if your able to park your vehicle inside the garage. Great lake front location with beautiful towns nearby."
