One room was the detached back cottage with two twin beds and a bit smaller bathroom that our older daughters used, and one room was upstairs with nice space and a very nice restrooms including modern shower my wife and I used. "This hotel is.....a Fairmont hotel after all. You will have a very spacious room, all the amenties you can imagine (including nespresso capsules in your room) and a wonderful bathroom where you can relax from your day. "Of the 4 hotels I stayed in in Scotland, this was the best. A short drive outside of St Andrews with rates a fraction of the cost of hotels in town. Parking on site was easy. On site restaurant was excellent. The fish and chips was the best I had in the country. Staff was amazing. Rooms were in excellent condition. Property was unique and looked like a small village. "

"Our stay at the Spindrift Guest House was our favorite across our Scottish travels! Mark and Jennie’s hospitality was amazing and the accommodations were perfect. We took their suggestions for traveling by train into Edinburgh, where to eat in downtown Anstruther, and driving into St Andrew’s. This location was a quick 15-minute drive to the Old Course, which was very convenient since we were going daily to enter the singles draw.
