"The house is conveniently located, close to the JR station and there are a bunch of restaurants within walking distance. There is also a 100-year-old stationery store close by, which we really enjoyed. "This would probably be the only property that I would not do a repeat visit going back to Japan. The property itself is not the most convenient to get to, even being near'ish Kyoto Station. "Hotel had a great location, close to the train station. Rooms were comfortable and breakfast was reasonable. However, it is not as good as it could be since on the last night, at midnight, we had the fire alarm ringing and had to evacuate through the tiniest stairwell where the hotel would store garbage. Thankfully there was no fire, but showed how much of a safety hazard those stairs can be. A few hours later, before 6 am, a song started playing in our room, what we assume to be was a wake up...
