"Great spot in the heart of Austin. The mermaid place was very beautiful and cozy with the whole environment being a big piece of art, made of many smaller pieces of art. Amenities are excellent, but the futons on the floor were rough on my husband’s back. Other than that, the hosts were great and we enjoyed meeting Lois and Stan.Highly recommend Ubers or other ride-shares to get to local eateries because parking is difficult to navigate. Really enjoyed the scooters in the city! "

"We picked this mostly for its central location and relatively low price during a holiday week, but I should have reminded myself that you get what you pay for. (My husband came a few days ahead of me and stayed in a pet-friendly high rise condo right on Cesar Chavez, with a gorgeous view, which was in better shape and cheaper than this, though.)Overall it was fine for a few nights but badly needs new baseboards and fresh paint, and a deep clean. Also the remote was missing the volume button so...

"Great location for a base to cover Austin. Super accommodating host and very nice. Place was not really updated as advertised. A couple items newer like bathroom sink and smart TV but condition of kitchen was very dated and worn. Sofa and carpet very worn. With some fixes and redo the place would great. Very quiet and comfortable neighborhood."
