Take a trip across the quaint Sturgeon Island Bridge to this beautiful year round Sturgeon Lake property. Gorgeous sweeping lake views and private sandy beach. Multi level home with tons of amenities including a 6 person Cal Spas hot tub. Hot tub available year round.

2023 Sylvan Pontoon available for rental

Winter:
Cozy up inside by the gas fireplace while taking in the views of the lake or bring your snowmobiles, cross country skiis or snowshoes and head outside, then warm up in the hot tub or by the Solo Firepit.
State parks and state forest nearby.
Great spot for snowmobilers and ATVers! Many miles of trails including close access to Soo Line and Munger Trails.

Summer:
Cook up a delicious outdoor breakfast on the 36” griddle. Sip coffee overlooking the lake. Set up for a relaxing day on the private sandy beach. Sand bottom lake with clear water that stays shallow for great swimming! Lounge in the hammock. Cruise around the lake on the kayak or paddle board. Or rent the 2023 Sylvan pontoon for more lake fun! Grill some dinner and take in the sunset while enjoying the lakeside bonfire and s’mores.

***Please note: steps to front entrance and multi level home. Some do not have hand rails. Several sets of stairs down to lake access. Property may not be appropriate for those with limited mobility.
***Beach firepit may not be usable in winter. Some areas of the beach may be unusable in winter due to dock and lift storage.

*Fully equipped kitchen (fridge, stove, oven, cooking utensils and dinning wares)
*Traeger grill and 36” griddle available for outdoor cooking
*Linens and towels including beach/hot tub towels will be provided to guests.
*Small selection of books, games and toys available including beach toys.
*2 kayaks and 1 paddle board available for summer use, including a selection of adult and child life jackets.

*Smoking not allowed.

This cabin was a great spot for our family to gather for our annual vacation together. Our grandkids, ages 1.5 to 8 loved the little bunk room and playing on the clean beach. We had lots of fun fishing from the dock and the pontoon. We caught enough pan fish and bass to have a yummy fish meal on our last afternoon in the cabin. The place is so peaceful, we enjoyed hearing and watching the loons everyday. We were treated to eagle visits right above the upper deck too! The neighborhood was nice to walk along with little ones on bikes and in the wagon. This property is located within an hour of the aquarium in Duluth and Lake Superior shore which made for another fun adventure with the kids.

Family Summer get away. We absolutely fell in love with the lake. It was clean, quiet, and big! The house was perfect for our large family of 11. If traveling with children, there is no need to bring toys; the home was well stocked both inside and outside by the beach. The kitchen was also well stocked. Fun family weekend!

Our family of 8 enjoyed our time! The lake is beautiful with excellent fishing right off the dock! It was very private which was nice. Thank you Jim and Katie for making the check out process much easier then most VRBO stays, much appreciated!

Merry Family Christmas

Rented for the holidays with our family.Spent every day in the hot tub- great views & perfect escape from cold weather. Gathered around the big dining table for Christmas cookie decorating. Incredible views. Living room was perfect for watching the Vikings win and Hallmark Holiday movies. Beautiful lake drive to the property. With the cutest photo opportunity bridge along the way. There are steps to enter the property but they are nice and deep and not steep.We experienced an issue that can happen in any house. The hosts sent a service man immediately and he was able to fix it and secure a part on Christmas Eve. That kind of service is most difficult to come by.We will rent again when if we are in that area of the state again.Merry Christmas!

Sturgeon Lake Fall Retreat

Very comfortable, clean, bright and lovely stay. We enjoyed the layout of the house, the fire pit and the hot tub. A special touch was that the host left the makings for s'mores. Overall a lovely, peaceful place to have a nice weekend.

Fun & Relaxing Stay

My wife and I stayed here with our 4 kids (ages 16, 14, 12 & 10) for 4 nights in the middle of the week. We rented the pontoon for a few days. We had a blast and were blown away by the amenities, hospitality and communication with Jim & Katie. The beds were comfortable. The whole place was very clean. We enjoyed the hot tub, pontoon, fire-pit, kayaks, paddleboard and beach. The kids loved fishing from the dock. So grateful for all the little details that Jim & Katie put into this place such as: abundance of bath/beach/hot tub towels, fire wood, S'mores, condiments, paper towels...things that many VRBO rentals do not provide but made this rental feel like we were being spoiled because we didn't have to worry about it! Jim was very quick to respond to any questions (although I tried not to bug him). We honestly hope to come back some day! Perfect little family vacation!

We loved our stay at this cabin! Everything was just as description said in the listing. Host was super accommodating and responsive. My friends and I stayed for a weekend and fell in love with this place. We spend a lot of time in the hottub and lake. We had a great view of the sunset and checkin was super easy. The only feed back I have is there was a little ant problem, but overall the stay was amazing.

Wonderful time

My friends and I had a wonderful time at this property. The hosts offered all sorts of amenities that most places do not. The check out process was so easy and there wasn’t any rush or special tasks that needed to be completed. The amount of spots to hang outside was plentiful. They even had box fans in the garage to keep bugs away. It’s a special place and you can tell the hosts take great pride with this rental.

We have quite a wide range with our group, a 4 month old, a 2 year old, some teens, adults and grand parents. Great location and amenities, cabin was broken up to into spaces to accommodate all. Stairs took some adjustment but we had it down by the end of our stay. Loved the swim mat and hot tub!!!

Lakefront family getaway

The location is beautiful and the hosts very responsive and helpful. They loaned us a baby monitor that was super helpful! We had tons of fun on the lake and made good use of the grill and griddle for cooking. It was beautiful and relaxing even with a baby.

Great Get Away

The property was exactly what we needed as a family of 5. Basketball hoop for chilling morning, clean sand for the kids to play in, weed free water area, and a hot tub to relax in at the end of the day. The lake is quiet and picturesque. We will be back again soon.

4th of July Getaway

We had such a great stay over the 4th of July weekend. There were 4 adults and 3 young children. The weather was absolutely perfect for the kids to wade in the water, play in the sand and play with the water toys. Each morning we rode paddleboards around the island and had fun going under the 'Island Bridge'. The hot tub was also a huge hit in the evenings to relax in. The house was very well stocked with towels, cooking utensils and toys. We loved the layout of the house to allow kids to spread out. The view of the lake was beautiful and we hope to come back again soon. Thanks so much for sharing your home with us!

Great experience, would do it again

We all enjoyed our stay, and everything has been recently updated. Super-clean and well stocked, everything we needed/wanted was provided. One point may have already been made elsewhere is that the beds in the bunk room are short, even the larger lower one is a little short for a 5'10" or taller person. I'm not complaining, it's just something to be aware of.
