"Beautiful clean room , for an old building the creaky , slopping floors were as expected. Very well stocked breakfast but I wasn’t sure where we were supposed to eat it so we went back to our room so perhaps trays should be provided? My only problem was the wedding / house side , I think it confusing. Even though the staff were very friendly, I felt in the way the next day after check out as the bridal party were setting up for their wedding. Perhaps an area could be set up for non wedding...

"Nice and comfy great staff and plenty of local amenities"

"A beautiful spot and a lovely old mill building that has been renovated very well indeed. Rooms are very nicely decorated and appointed, with comfy beds and pillows."

"Usual high standard. No issues."

"Good size room, well equipped. Iron, usb wall sockets, usb charging bedside lamps. Loads of parking. Hallways and reception all well presented. EV charging works well, though expensive (75p per kw at time of writing). Bed was comfy and clean. Bathroom needed some maintenance (towel rusty, extraction not good enough so bathroom damp paint peeling). Corridor doors very noisy at night, they swing and bang 2-3 times when closing. Staid 2 nights; no house keeping for some reason (we’d...

"Great place to stay for our journey home. Staff very friendly and helpful, ideal location just off the M5."

"Overall, the hotel is really nice and quite charming. The only thing that I would see was the parking . We had to use the overflow parking which was in a very dark area away from the hotel so it was dark. I did not feel comfortable walking back up to the hotel late at night. also we did upgrade our room to include a bath, but there was no water for the bath, so I was really disappointed in this because it was a lovely feature in the room. When I did say to the hotel receptionist, they said OK...

"Very welcoming and helpful staff, great with our children too. Our room was great, however the bathroom felt a bit tired. There was a weird musty smell in our toom when wr got there, but once we opened the window and let it all air out it was fine. Breakfast was regularly topped up, offering plenty of variety."

"Stayed a few times and always superb!"

"Had a fantastic stay staff was so helpful my grandkids loved are stay"

"Perfectly clean and functional. Useful when visiting my university student son living in Selly Oak. Didn't partake of breakfast but Morrisons and Aldi nearby."

"Great stay, the staff were friendly and welcoming, rooms were clean and beds comfortable, my only criticism is the rooms didn’t have a fan or aircon, apart from that, it’s a really nice quiet hotel, will definatley stay again."

"Staff throughout the stay and property were very nice friendly and helpful. Parking onsite....always a bonus. Breakfast was OK maybe more selection for the continental. Room was pleasant. Only real downside was the noise in the room. We stayed two nights and both mornings were awoken 4am and 6am by a droning sound in the room from above. We did advise a staff member after 1st night but it was still there on 2nd night. Could have been from air conditioning on roof maybe whatever it was it...

"Extremely comfortable, large room and bathroom in a beautiful surroundings. "

"The room was clean and spacious. The bed was very comfy and the bathroom was good. Only issue was the door in the corridor slammed everytime someone went through it. Probably just needs the door closer adjusting."

"the property was set in a grate location for all the local amenities and roads, the interior was full of rustic charm."
